Wanted to take a moment to say what a wonderful MD this doctor is. He was covering another practice for emergencies when I called on a Saturday night at 8 pm with symptoms my 85 year old Mom was having that sounded urgent. He could have said, take her to an ER, but instead met her at his office in Huntington at 9:00 to take care of her urgent eye issues, allow her to enjoy Easter Sunday with our family. What a great doctor! Thank you Dr. Held for going above and beyond for a patient.

The entire staff at Dr. Held's office is amazing. I've had major issues with my eye twice in the last two years that required daily visits for a week or so. The first time it happened, Dr. Held ended his holiday weekend early to come check on me and frequently called me from home to make sure I was okay. This time he made time in his schedule to treat me every day and the nurses and medical assistants were caring, gentle, and kind to me during a time that I was in excruciating pain. Thank you all so much for your kindness and for making this difficult process easier for me.

I had an urgent eye issue. I understand they have to fit me in but really?? Please understand that I also had another doctor appointment that I booked a year ago. I told them this appointment was 12:45 & the only times they could come up with were 1:00 & 1:40! If you can squeeze me in at those times why can't you squeeze me in at Any other time that doesn't conflict with my other doctor appointment? Very unaccommodating & unhelpful. Will not be using them any more!

Scared me instead of informing me of a condition, forgot he previously diagnosed me with kerataconus!!! Then tells me I'm a glaucoma suspect and leaves me with a ton of questions, grateful he told me what was wrong but pissed off that he and his practice treats you like a robot. Granted I'm a bit of a worry wart but when you hear you might have glaucoma or the beginnings at 29, it's important to explain what can happen if there's treatment or just simply suggest it should be monitored. Update june 6 2018 Visited dr berliner in huntington, turns out ive been wearing hard contacts for 10 years for no reason, planning to follow up with held and my lawyers this is rediculous, damaged my eyes for 10 years Now wearig soft lenses thankfully

Had 2 cataract surgeries. The team was great. Dr. Helm is a good doctor, competent and personable. I go to him for my eye needs.

Dr. Held does NOT return phone calls. I saw him for an eye infection in both eyes. I had a question about the medication he prescribed, called and he did not return my call. I called him twice more, and am to this day waiting for a call back. I am looking for another Ophthalmologist.

Diagnosed me with a degenerative eye condition 4 years ago that I have recently found out I don't actually have, from two separate ophthalmologists. Do with that info what you will.
