I was greeted by Michelle, who was wonderful. She was kind, friendly, and went out of her way to see if my glasses could be repaired. When it turned out the hinge was separated beyond repair, she even reached out to a sister location to check for my prescription. Although they didn't have it, I appreciated the effort.
I subsequently had an eye exam and purchased new glasses through my insurance. I also want to mention that Joe, the technician, and the Doctor who performed my exam were both very pleasant. Michelle was also helpful in finding a solution for my broken frames by placing my lenses into a new "4You" frame for $60.
Overall, it was a good experience and I would rate the majority of the staff and the process five stars. However, I did want to note that the young lady at registration was not as courteous or pleasant to interact with as the rest of the team. For that reason, I would rate my overall experience four stars.

I ordered lenses Waited a week later they said they are in but their lens cutting machine was down. After 10 more days it's still down. They said I can go to another store 15 miles away and have them put them in. After I picked them I called the other store they said just come in. Went I got to the store they said I have to go to Cohens optical to have them cut the lenses. I finally got here now I'm waiting over 30 minutes to have them cut. Never again a sorry for your inconvenience or anything. I have been going sterling for 25 years. Never will I go back!
I've been coming here for over 40 years and have always had a good experience. Crystal is wonderful! I came in a week ago for my annual exam (Crystal wasn't in). They are under new management and with that new staff. These "kids" are definitely not the same as the previous staff. I had to purchase new glasses and tried on many and finally chose a pair. I paid for them (an exorbitant amount I might add). When I got home, I looked them up online so I can show my sister and found out that they charged me $500 over the price I saw online. Same model number and everything (frames at Sterling $749 and on-line $260). When I inquired why it was so expensive, they said that they offer a one year warranty and that they only carry one in store and on-line they buy in bulk. I will never purchase from Sterling Optical again, in fact after coming here for over 40 years, I will now go somewhere else for my eye exams.
My review is for an Associate of this store named Crystal. She was incredible! My son was having a tremendously hard time with the fit of his glasses after he accidentally bent them. Crystal was so patient and caring with my son. She made numerous adjustments until he was fully satisfied. Crystal's commendable customer service makes a trip to this store worthwhile.
7/26/24-Once again I had an excellent experience working with Crystal. Again she showed incredible patience with my son and made our experience a positive one. 5 STARS!!
A year ago the service and the staff were exceptional, warm, kind. Appointment was efficient and prices fair. I made a new appointment yesterday for an appointment today, arrive only to be told after I arrived that they have new owners and no longer take my insurance and everything would be out of pocket. To add, the three staff members I spoke with were snotty, cold, and just overall unpleasant. I chose to walk out and find a different office. My recommendation is to avoid this new staff.
Crystal was by far amazing. I had a horrible experience at Cohens in the mall across the street. So bad I went to Sterling in need of assistance with the pair I bought at Cohens. I was willing to pay just to have someone look at it just to give an idea of how bad it was. I met Crystal and she was an absolute gem. She was a pleasure to speak with. I know where to go and where to refer people who need glasses from now on. Go see Crystal, you won't be disappointed.
I walked into the store to have 3 glasses repaired. The worker took them in the back. I expected them to give me a price. No, they were done and said thank you and remember us when you need glasses. So classy, professional and nice, highly recommend this store!!
I am very happy with the great customer service I received today December 1 at the Huntington Station Store. Jocelyn and Crystal were so helpful, friendly, and kind. They took the time to answer all my questions. I needed to have 2 pairs of eye glasses made up and repaired. They did the job very quickly. I am a very happy customer. I highly recommend this store to everyone. I had a very pleasant experience there, and I look forward to going there again. Jay
