They called and canceled my son appointment without my consent. Stating that I didn't confirm which I did 2 days ago. I called to speak with someone then call center told me there's one for today at 2 which I told her my son appointment was at 5:20pm not at 2pm. There's a reason I placed at the time. I get off at 4pm then she sent me directly to the store which taking longer to be on hold. I got patience but don't like when I have to deal with this when they have to stop doing it. It's my 2nd time it happens at particularly this location. I found sooner and later time which why I did the appointment. Now I continue going to Farmingdale location instead of this one. It should be ZERO STAR AT ALL.
I came in today with broken glasses, and Joshua was incredibly helpful in finding the right solution. He repaired an old broken pair I happened to have, checked if I was eligible for a new pair, and even searched through all the cabinets for a replacement frame. On top of that, he offered a generous discount--which I truly appreciated, especially with the cost of living being so high. His attention, care, and excellent service made a big difference. Thank you so much, Joshua.
I had an appointment at the Medford Visionworks on Monday, January 5, 2026 @ 12.40 pm. Someone called me from Visionworks around 1/2 hour before my appointment to inform me there was no doctor in store, so my eye exam would be done using Telehealth. I could not believe this. How's this possible. I never heard of an eye exam using Telehealth. The young woman explained Visionworks has been using Telehealth for 10 years. I asked why wasn't I informed of this when I made appointment? She had no answer. Anyway, I changed my appointment for Friday, January 9th, 2026 @ 11:30 am so I would be seen by a doctor present in store. I'm getting ready for my new appointment when I get a call from Visionworks @ 11:00 am. 1/2 hrs before my appointment. The young lady told me they can't find my insurance in their system. So if I keep appointment I will have to pay out of pocket. Again, I was flabbergasted. WHAT? I asked why didn't they tell me this yesterday or day before so I could call my Insurance Company to find out what's going on. She claimed she has been calling me all week. That's not true. This is my cellphone and I always answer. I did get text messages reminding me of appointment. No call about my insurance until 1/2 hour before my appointment. I was upset. I thought this was all too strange. I said I'm not paying out of pocket for my appointment so I guess my appointment is canceled. Hung up and called my insurance company, I was covered. They tried to call Visionworks, no answer. So I drove to Visionworks and explained my situation. The Manager Yadira, checked my insurance and confirmed I was covered. Yadira saved the day for me. She was very patient and ended up fixing the problem. I did get my visit today. I just wanted to let management know they have a gem in Yadira. I gave 4 stars because of the lack of communication with the people doing the reaching out to patients in advance. Please try to give patients more notice if there's a problem. Thank you Yadira, great customer service.
This place is no good. Employees are easily distracted having personal conversations while they have customers with appointments waiting. Also just because I look Hispanic does not mean I don't understand English. This place is supposed to have you in and out. My appointment took over an hour. I've been to vision works all over the island and never once had a negative experience until today. Take your business elsewhere
I've been a loyal customer for over 10 years, but my most recent experience was unacceptable. With the exception of one representative, the staff was dismissive and made no effort to help me find the product I needed. Very disappointing service from a business I've supported for so long.
I am not a fan of change so I was looking for a specific frame that is no longer able to be ordered Nike 6037. I got my eye exam at another location the Man that helped me instructed me to go to the Vision work In Medford saying they have a Larger stock than them and may have a pair. When I entered the store, I was asked if I needed help I said yes the young lady helped me she said They were not able to order it. I said I understood that the gentleman at the other store said you might have it in stock so I looked on the shelf. I could not find it. I then kindly ask if I could please look inside the drawer for the frame, a gentleman said rudely was in the drawers is on the shelf now being a customer for years I know to not be true. I explained to him that I was not going to remove anything, but I just wanted to see if the frame was there, he got nasty. They got the manager. When the manager of the store came over, she asked me to see the frame without even taking them out out of the case and seeing the model number, she said very dismissive oh yeah, we don't carry those. My response was I understand you cannot order them, but is it possible it's in the drawer she said no. I then left the store and explained to them that they lost a longtime customer.
The visionworks office in Medford by motor vehicle is the perfect place to go to for your eye care. They are very knowledgeable, friendly and they have a great selection of frames. They also take all insurances
