It was an awful experience. My appointment was for 11 AM .After an hour. I went to the
front desk and asked to be seen and then I was called in for the first test .Another hour later another test. After 2 1/2 hours a resident came and examined me. I did not get to see the doctor till 2:10 PM. It is outrageous that anybody should wait over three hours to see a doctor. The doctor had 57 patients booked that day. How much time should we expect she will spend with each patient in this case? This shows no respect for my time if you expect me to wait for that long. I complained to the office manager. And I am never coming back to see the doctor again. She's good but the waiting period is terrible.
I find Dr. Shukla to be wonderful. She is always aware of my background, explains the results of the tests, and makes it clear what will happen at my next visit. She is also friendly and makes me feel comfortable talking with her.
Those who work with her are also excellent.
Professional staff and assistants. Dr. Shukla was attentive, informed, comprehensive in her explanations, and skilled in obtaining the desired results from my surgery. Highly recommend her.
Dr. Shukla is very cordial , caring and professional. She is thorough and answers all my questions and concerns. Her support staff is the same. A very good experience overall.
We arrived at 5:45 am for a 6:00 am post-Surgery appointment. But the Vanderbilt building was closed on December 31 for the holidays. As an aging patient, it was stressful not knowing where to go until a kind hospital staff member gestured for us to walk around to enter from the Emergency entrance. Then the long walk to room 304 for a meeting with Dr. Shukla. No one was around, so we located the activities on the fourth floor where Dr. Shukla was seeing patients. This is an unexpected incident, but the instruction could make a note that if Vanderbilt is closed, go to the Emergency entrance. The instruction would be perfect and reduce patients' anxiety post-surgery.
Dr. Shukla's monitoring of my eye health is superb. She and her staff are compassionate, efficient, and
adept.
Dr. Shukla is the most professional, attentive, caring, and responsive doctor I've ever met. I feel truly fortunate to be under her care. I highly recommend her.
