Dr. Dayan is one of the best retina specialists practicing in NY. He restored my vision twice (once in each eye - 1 year apart) with precise and skilled retinal surgery procedures. I am so grateful to this doctor and highly recommend his services if you are in need of a top retina specialist.

My optometrist said I needed my retinas checked and referred me to someone. Then I got on a bus and someone on the bus started talking out loud about this great retina specialist. It was very bizarre but I took it as a sign from above - so I went to that retina specialist instead, Dr. Dayan. He is amazing - very calm, quietly funny, intelligent, knowledgeable, and very experienced. Told me the optometrist was wrong and my retinas are fine. He's the one to go to. I feel very blessed that his name fell into my lap.

He is located at the former eye and ear hospital not the most pleasant it always smells dusty with shabby furniture the equipment appears never to have been sanitized He once performed a manual Pucker surgery which was thankfully successful however he has never provided me with additional information regarding the reemergence of symptoms! Dr Dayan has no facial expression avoids eye contact ! His treatment plan for me was more like a school assignment I am to buy notebook and record daily for a period of three months all the symptoms I've experienced! Only then am I to schedule another appointment with him! I hope to see another retina specialist to obtain some clarity on the validity of his assignment! I left as quickly as possible crying all the way home! Dr Dayan seems to forgotten his role as physician! No testing was conducted despite my request to have some concrete testing! Absent any evidence of expression all that remains is. for me complete the assignment of daily manual documentation for next 3 months! I cannot recommend Dr Dayans services however you are free to select the best retinal specialist try to choose wisely.,

I had an emergency retinal detachment surgery. Dr. Dayan is respectful and soft spoken. A real pleasure to be to taken care of by him. He made a scary situation manageable. He was very thorough and clearly has a lot of experience. Thank you Dr. Dayan. I highly recommend him for all of your retina needs!

Excellent, caring physician. He takes the time to listen to your concerns. I'm a nurse and he was recommended to me and I'm so glad I was able to see him. His office also does a great job of answering in a timely manner and getting back to you. He truly is the kind of caring and smart doctor that you unfortunately don't often find anymore!

Dr Dyan restored my eyesight in my left eye and saved the sight in my right eye. He is a remarkable surgeon and a very compassionate person.
