If I could leave 0 stars I would. The Doctor was great and I was able to get glasses under my union plan. The problem came 2 months later when my glasses just fell off my face. One of the arms of the glasses just disconnected through no fault of my own. I took it back and the glasses were fixed. About a month later the same thing happened again through no fault of my own. The glasses were just faulty. When I brought the glasses back in to be fixed they were accepted only to be called later on that week to be told because my glasses needed to be fixed again that I would be charged $40 or I could get the glasses cut down into a different frame for $40. I I should not have to pay extra money for glasses that were faulty and not constructed well. I am very appalled at the lack of customer service and will no longer be shopping with Cohen's.
Like most here said, the opthamologist is amazing. However, she is the only good thing about this place. The rest of the staff is horrible and I will never go here again.
First, while coming to pick up my glasses, as I was entering the store, a sales clerk was leaving with trash, so I held the door for her. No thanks, no response, nothing. Strike 1.
I get my glasses, they're given to me with both lenses smudged, so I have to dig a wipe out of my purse to clean them before I can try them on. I've been wearing glasses for 40 years and I have NEVER been given new glasses with dirty lenses. Strike 2.
I try the glasses on and they nearly fall off my face. I walk over to let the clerk know they don't fit and she says they
need to be adjusted. She gives them to another employee to adjust, he gives them back, I put them on, and they still don't fit right. In fact, they feel like they've been worn before. A lot. I take them off and look at them closely. They're obviously bent out of shape, the print on the left arm is partially worn off, and there's a small chip on it. They gave me the last pair of frames in the store instead of ordering a new pair. I put them on and showed him they were crooked on my face because they were used and bent, he insisted they were brand new and were completely straight on my face. He did agree to order a new pair of frames and I'll take them, but that was Strike 3.
I don't know if I was treated so disrespectfully because I used a union voucher to get my glasses instead of cash, or they treat everyone this way, but this is no way to treat any customer. I'd advise anyone in DC37 thinking about coming here to go to a different provider.
I have been going here since 2005. They know me by name. On many occasions they have gone above and beyond to help me. I always receive a great price for products and services. Any time someone needs optical services I recommend this place immediately. They have the best prices in contacts and gave you trial pairs to hold you over until your order arrives. Diana is my favorite always a pleasure to speak to.
This review is based on the staff only. The doctor had already left when I arrived. I do not usually do reviews but wow, this was such a great interaction.. I came in to get several new frames. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. Your business missed on over $1k of business that day so, Mr/Mrs Owner, superb job. Merry Christmas. I will definitively not be back.
I dropped my frame with this store four weeks ago to get lens. So far I have not got my glasses back. The staff kept on saying we would call you. They never did. There was no explanation on the delay. The staff spoke as if she was so proud of the poor service she provided. Do not go to this store!
Rudest and most unprofessional front desk salesperson I've ever encountered; I'll never go back there just thinking of the bad experience I had with her and a great deal of my time she had wasted.
First I went in to order contact lenses, which takes less than 5 mins, and she kept me waiting for an excessive amount of time while she dealt with some payroll and tax paperwork. When I eventually asked her why she could not help me first and deal with the paperwork after, she made excuses complaining about her workload and her boss. Ok I'm considerate but isn't this something she should figure out with her boss and not affect the customers? This simple trip took me more than an hour in the end, and the nightmare had just STARTED.
She told me the order would take only a week to arrive. I waited patiently for 3 weeks until my contact lenses at home were about to run out, so I started to call in to check on the order status. Half of the times the calls weren't answered, and when she did pick up, she's rude and unapologetic, didn't give any useful information, and wouldn't even offer or agree to help check on the order before impatiently ending the call!
I'm not going to blame her for the order arriving late. But her rude attitude and lack of empathy doesn't help with the situation at all!
So after more than a month of waiting, I received a call saying the order had arrived. So I went in, hoping that would be the last trip I had to make. Once again, and this time unsurprisingly, her attitude was rude and unprofessional. At one point during our conversation she uttered crap like "oh you startled me; I have a reflex and could kick your ass you know". Ok even if it were a joke, it ain't a good one; and I was certainly not in the mood after a great deal of unpleasant conversation with her. I would just rather get my contact lenses and never have to talk to her again!
And then she finally found my order, and guess what? Apparently she only had HALF the amount that I ordered and paid for! which meant that I had to make a THIRD trip back there, which I wouldn't mind too much if it weren't just for the thought of having to talk to such unprofessional and crass person..
I went to this location because it's close to my workplace. But since their front desk salesperson gives customers such headaches and wastes customers' time, next time I'll choose a decent store for my orders and not worry about encountering such rude and unhelpful person!
This place was amazing!! I'm in town for all of ten minutes when my glasses broke and brought no contacts with. With my prescription having recently expired, it made it nearly impossible for me to get ahold of anything. They just happened to be one of the first open that day so I walked in and was greeted warmly and listened to. Dr wasn't there yet but they asked me to come back in 30 minutes and go from there. Dr Yoon was wonderful! She saw me immediately and gave me a thorough exam/prescription (and an AWESOME lens recommendation) with a few sample lenses to last me my trip!! All for less than $100!! I can't recommend this place enough! I would come here regularly if I lived here!
Initial experience: the eye doctor was wonderful. quick, efficient, and pragmatic. the service otherwise? I went in on 12/28 for the eye exam basically to just update my prescription and to reorder my contact lenses. I knew what brand and what kind I needed. I wanted one box for the left, one box for the right. because thats what makes sense. The woman who helped me said she'd call in about two weeks. Two weeks later, I called and it took more than 10 minutes on hold before anyone told me anything, which was, there was a delay in the order, ill get a call when it comes in. in about a week or so later, i walked into the store because I hadnt received a call. It took them quite some time to find my information to tell me it wasnt in yet and it might be in soon and theyd call me. I was going to get glasses but i was then ignored for other customers. I walked out. i called again in about a week or so because i hadnt received a call. again, nothing. finally on 2/9, my contacts came in. I went to pick it up... and they only had ONE box.. for one eye... missing the other, and they looked at me confused and very curtly told me that she had to get her kid so i had 2 minutes to decide if i wanted to order another box. now, lets not even consider how one box was half the price on 1800 contacts and other sites. Or that i never received a call, or that I had them check for my contacts order several times over the course of over 6 weeks and no one thought to ask why i only had one box coming in for my right eye prescription but not my left. im never going here again. they get two stars because i liked the optometrist and the exam was great, and the lady behind the counter while mostly unhelpful and very curt wasnt really outright rude (but she was borderline). So assuming that the incredibly long delay was not their fault, they were terrible at keeping me updated, missed an opportunity to get more business from me, and then of course, assuming there was a miscommunication about the order, they werent very good about ensuring that I the customer received the appropriate services. the dismal customer service and the lack of attention to simple detail .. and there is no yelp page probably because of how terrible this store is. my advice -- DONT GO HERE.
