If You Value Your Eyes and Your Money -- STAY FAR AWAY from This Place Let me save you the frustration, confusion, and financial ambush I just experienced. If you love your eyes and love keeping money in your pocket, avoid this place like the plague. I mean it. This clinic was recommended to me by New York Eye and Ear, so I thought I was walking into a reputable office. I called ahead to confirm costs and was told the initial fee would be $179, which would include a contact lens fitting and a prescription I could take with me -- no strings attached. I was very clear: I wanted to see if contacts would even work for me before committing to anything. Fast forward to my appointment. The check-in process was a mess -- no clear directions, lots of confusion. When I finally saw the doctor, she checked my vision, put ONE contact in my right eye, and that was it. Done in minutes. No real fitting, no education, no explanation. Then came the kicker... They tried to charge me $650. Yes, $650. When I said I wasn't ready to commit -- especially since I've never worn contacts before and didn't know if I'd be comfortable -- I asked for my prescription so I could think it over. That's when they hit me with this gem: > "We can't give you your prescription." Excuse me? They then turned around and charged me $150 just for the fitting (which, let's be honest, wasn't a real fitting), even though I was told the fitting and the prescription were included in the original $179 quote. I voiced my concerns -- politely at first -- but the receptionist couldn't have cared less. She was visibly annoyed, more concerned about how I was going to pay than the fact that they completely bait-and-switched me. This place is either shady, incompetent, or both. I left with no prescription, no usable contacts, and $150 less in my bank account. If you're looking for transparency, professionalism, or even basic decency, this is NOT the place. I don't care who recommended it. Run in the opposite direction.

Awful, awful patient communication and service. I called the Contact Lens department to order new contacts after being given trial lenses. I called the office many times, finally got an answer. Someone took my information, said they would call the next day. Two days passed, no call, so I call them back, again many times, finally someone answers and says they cannot find my chart. No problem, that happens. I tell them that during the time of my visit I was in the middle of changing my name after getting married, so it may be under my maiden name and apologize for not remembering this sooner. She says okay, I will call you back. Several hours later, no call, so AGAIN, I call them, and the woman says "You know you really shouldn't say your name is XYZ if its not, I been looking for your chart for two days". She was extremely rude and unkind. I explained to her that I didn't purposefully give her the wrong name, but also she didn't ask for my DOB or any other identifying information and she also did not EVER CALL ME BACK, I initiated all calls with this office trying to get this sorted out. Absolutely awful, I will be seeking care elsewhere.

Scheduled an appointment for me a a time that the doctor isn't even in.
