Pediatric Ophthalmology of Ny

First time coming here. The wait time was 3 hours for me (I read the reviews beforehand so I expected to wait and played on my phone). I was examined by 2 doctors for 20 minutes and had a surgery scheduled 2 weeks after my appointment :) The doctors/examiners were really nice. The lady who gave me the forms when I came in looked young and was nice as well The main wait room IS crowded but they have 2 waiting rooms. The smaller waiting room was empty. There may be kids being loud but I didn't mind. Due to how fast I was able to get a surgery scheduled and how nice the doctors were, I got everything I needed here (Haven't gotten the surgery yet, I'll make another review once it's done) So there is a long wait, but it's worth it (speaking from my experience)

This office is truly incredible. They are all amazing. From the reception staff to the assistants, coordinators, and the doctor. I can't ever thank them enough. Dr. McCord is the best doctor I've had in recent years for my child.

First and foremost I want to say I am an anesthesiologist and I think their ability to treat a 2 year old whose in capable of staying still efficiently and effectively (without anesthesia) is amazing! From beginning to end their staff is professional and efficient. They are amazing...too often people don't mention when things are great just when they are bad, these doctors have it down and are awesome. To the point my son was commenting on their toys in the exam rooms on our way home. Thanks again!

Giving 5 stars for the DOCTORS. All of my doctors are TERRIFIC!!! Giving 1 star for the administrative staff. The person who answers the phones there is RUDE and she questions me every time I call to make an appointment, which I am assuming because I am an adult, but have been a patient for almost a year. She has no compassion or care especially when I was not doing well in the beginning. This person should not be answering the phones or scheduling appointments. She's argumentative and I dread having to call and have to speak with her. I recently contacted them to confirm receipt of paperwork and of course the conversation went south. I just don't understand why calling this office has to be this hard. Please do something!!!!!

Dr Campolattaro generally is great, but the wait time is a little off the charts consistently. For those that have insurance coverage that also has a referral, the staff consistently does not get it to check the insurance provider's website and it is a stuggle because they never have this information available and I always feel unprepared. Other practices I have went to never have this problem. What really prompt me to write a review is that they got this weird seating assignment thing going on in the waiting room that is not kid friendly if this place is for treating kids. Not sure what to make of it. There is something worth a second look for their operation if their office manager ever reads this. The wait was long enough to watch both Pets and Madagascar end to end at an awkward angle. Just frustrated with how slow it is and there is hypocritical hygiene theatre. The date of this post is most likely my last time here where we have to ask for permission to sit somewhere else far from others.

Doctor is great. Staff is prob the most inefficient that I've experienced in NYC. Wait time is ridiculous 1-2hrs from your appointment time and they don't do anything abt it to make the wait time shorter or appointment booking more efficient/reasonable. Not even an effort to not waste so much of your time. Although doctor is great because of the ridiculous wait time prob doesn't make it worth going here

As other people mentioned in the reviews, the wait times are ridiculous. What is worse is that they are not honest about how long it will take. The doctor's are great, they just need to run a tighter ship and stop sacrificing patient experience in the effort to see more patients

3+ HOUR WAIT TIME. Ridiculous. Staff are incompetent. If people with a normal amount of braincells ran this place, you could get 50 people in and out in that same 3 hours. 5 star to the eye doctor however.
