Village Eyecare

I visited Village Eyecare in 2014 for my annual eye exam. The staff were very professional and had everything ready for me. I was seen immediately and the doctor was extremely capable and put me at ease with all of her detailed answers to my questions. One year later, I had moved to a different city, and I couldn't get an appointment with a local provider immediately. So I emailed Village Eyecare to request my Rx so I could order contacts. They responded right away and sent the Rx to me!! I was so impressed!! Excellent customer service and care. Would go back if I still lived in the area.

I moved away from the East Village years ago, but still come back to get my eye exam from Dr. Irina and her new colleague Dr. Seema. Both are so friendly and knowledgeable. On top of that, their staff run the business like a well oiled machine. They spell out your insurance options for you, help you order glasses and/or contacts and have you in-and-out in no time. I highly recommend them.

The staff was was very kind and helpful! I made an appointment the day before online and it was confirmed via email almost instantly. I walked in on the day of my appointment and I met with Doctor Shiyan instantly. She was not only thorough and efficient but also very kind. She took the time to inform me about the pros and cons of different contact lens brands and also provided me with information to get reimbursed for $200.00 online by Acuvue after ordering my lenses. I will definitely will be returning for further appointments!

I had a contact lens and glasses exam with Dr. Amin. Not only was she thorough in explaining what was going on with my vision, she also put me in a daily contact lens that has been life changing. She recommended lenses for my glasses that would suit my lifestyle and I've never been able to see better. The staff went above and beyond in helping me find frames that fit my face and explained exactly what I was getting. I highly recommend this store and optometrist!

Great place, very helpful people. I scheduled my appointment very last minute. There was no wait time. I kinda wish I had to wait longer since their glasses selection is amazing. I want to stay there all day just tying things on. I ended up getting new glasses and prescription sunglasses which I adore. Will Definitely recommend this place to my friends !!!!

Horrible experience. Received an email saying the practice had special hours and was open during the weekend, so I made an appointment on that Thursday to see a doctor on Sunday. I got a conformation text on Saturday for my appointment, which I confirmed, and was later followed up by a call canceling my appointment because there wasn't a doctor in. This is extremely sketchy and unprofessional and I will never trust this practice again. I would highly recommend not giving this shady operation your business or your money.

Great place for the city. I love going to the eye doctor (weird I know) but here it was so much better. The staff here are very friendly and always on time with appoitments. They were gentle with my eyes and carefully explained to me everything I had to know.

I have been going here since they first opened years ago and consistently come back for the genuine customer care, selection and price. With the East Village very quickly turning into nothing but businesses with no heart or character (think starbucks, duane reade, all those generic banks, even lens crafters) this place remains the reason why this neighborhood is still cool. It's a small business run by Optometrist and a seasoned staff that live and breathe glasses. They aren't just trying to sell you a pair, they will take the time to give you an honest opinion even when you're trying on your 100th pair (and I have). I've had contacts fedexed to me in a jiff when i was traveling and miscalculated my packing and I've had at least 1, maybe two sets of glasses replaced for free when they've been snapped in half by kids. Can't imagine a lens crafters would care enough about my business to do the same for me. If you want to find a spot that's your go to for years and years, this is it!
