I bought meta frames to put in my prescription in the lens. I picked up my glasses, they appeared to not be shiny black they looked like the frames were scratched or some type of solution took the shine away. When I bought this to the manager attention she's says the store nor the insurer is not responsible and continues to ask if I have insurance to get them replaced. This is unacceptable. Glasses are brand new. Reading the reviews says a lot about this business. They showed very little concern. Just an apology and keep stating they not responsible. No worries I will not be returning for any type of services. Bad business, plus I'm a long time customer.
Great service! Both doctors were very knowledgeable and upfront. My son's glasses came in on time right before heading to college. Had a great experience and plan to do more business with them for my entire family!
The care team has wonderful bedside manner and I love how much Wynn Optics is such a part of the community. They are honest and take care of their patients.
Horrible customer service. I love to support black businesses and it's frustrating that some of our black businesses fail in customer service. I have been a customer for 2 years however
this September 2025 I had the unpleasant experience obtaining information regarding when my voucher was forwarded to DC37 for reimbursement DC37 have not received it yet putting my reimbursement on hold note my balance was paid on September 9th. I was given a 30 day date approximately October 6 or 7th from completion of my final payment note all I wanted was a specific date when the voucher was sent out. Repeatedly I was told over and over a date in October without any assurance that the voucher was sent. All I wanted was a date the voucher was sent out. Never got a specific date just a repeated approximate date. Unfortunately I will take my business elsewhere. Unfortunately.
I'm glad I went very convenient and the ophthalmologist Campbell was very knowledgeable and kind. I will be back. Great experience
Used to come here a lot however had to start going to Benjamin optical because they get you what you paid for in a timely manner. Wynn had me waiting damn near half a year for a ORDER OF CONTACT LENSES! Offered nothing to make up for it no discount or anything for the long ahh wait, they actually acted like it was no big deal. Wouldn't even give me a spare contact case when I asked, this place went downhill sadly they don't have any respect for the customers anymore it seems. Taking our $ in full upfront then making you wait months with no consolation is crazyyyy
I really regret having to leave this review, but my experience with Wynn Optics was incredibly disappointing and costly. I paid $698 (upfront) for a pair of prescription glasses, and I now have absolutely nothing to show for it, not even the frames I paid for.
The first pair was made with the wrong prescription. They remade them, but the second pair was still incorrect. I could not see clearly with either. Wynn Optics kept both pairs. Despite never receiving a usable product, they have refused to refund my money.
Their non-refundable policy should not apply when they fail to deliver a working item. I opened a dispute with my credit card company, but Wynn Optics contested it, and the case was closed. I am now out almost $700, with no glasses, no frames, and no resolution.
They may seem nice at first, but this kind of business practice is unethical. I strongly caution anyone considering this provider.
DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT patron this optician office, as their rating is 3 stars for a reason! I was referred by another optometrist, so I disregarded the negative reviews, and now I'm writing one. Although Dr. Campbell was thorough and the appointment went smoothly, management is the problem! Not only are the front desk workers ignorant to insurance procedures, they are also incompetent and unprofessional. I was provided misinformation as fact, as well my paperwork was "submitted" days after my appointment. After 2 weeks of radio silence from Wynn Optics, I called to inquire about my prior authorization only to be informed that they had no idea when or what was going on. I then called my insurance provider who informed me that not one claim was submitted on my behalf for contacts, and that the timeframe of 7-14 business days was completely inaccurate. The correct timeframe was 30 business days. I then asked for my prescription so that I may take it elsewhere to be fulfilled, and they continuously lied saying they didn't have one because I was not fitted yet. When in fact, all they had to do was provide me with the examination information so that I could be fitted elsewhere. So, I popped up in person only for the sorry excuse of a manger to tell me I was correct and that she is sorry, the office gets busy and they were giving my insurance provider time and space to process a request that was never received. So, they don't proactively follow-up with customers or insurance providers, they don't submit paperwork in a timely fashion, they are completely ignorant of accurate processing timeframes, and until you insist they refuse to provide you with your own medical records. Save yourself the time, money, and trouble and patron a reputable opticians office or you will regret it! I hope they are closed for business soon, as the office is small, lackluster, and quality service is non-existent!
