Northport Eye Care

I have been a patient of Dr. Mar and Dr. Tan for a long time (from back when they worked in Massapequa.) They are now the eye doctors for myself, my wife, and my son. The doctors are both excellent, and the staff are all great. I look forward to my visit every year so we can catch up on the goings on from the previous year, as they have become more like friends due to their caring personalities. You would have to look long and hard to fine better eye care than you can find at Northport Eye Care.

Overall, very nice store. I was very disappointed though when I went in, after sitting on my glasses, to ask if they could properly readjust them for me. I was advised there would be a $20 charge since I was not a client. For a 2 minute adjustment I took them back and left. They lost a potential customer as I was looking for a new optometrist. Update. The repair took all of 2 minutes by a competitor at no charge.

Northport Eye Care is top notch!! I would give more than 5 stars if possible. We had an upcoming cruise and my glasses were breaking. I made an appt within a day, ordered glasses, and they shipped them to my hotel in Fla just in time for our cruise. They went out of their way to send me my new glasses. I'm so thankful for Drs Mar and Tan and the office personnel. All were so welcoming and accommodating. They will be my go to eye care for a long time!

Dr Tan and Dr Mar are both amazing doctors and are everything that you look for in outstanding eye care - super knowledgeable, kind, patient, thorough and answer any question that you may have. They have a terrific staff and a wide range of designer frames to choose from. If you are looking for great optometrists, head their way - I highly recommend this dynamic duo!

I cannot say enough good things about this business and the people who work there. I will never go to a different eye care business again. Dr Tan and Dr Mar are amazing doctors. They are extremely thorough, patient and professional. You can tell they really care about their patients. They take time to answer your questions and thoroughly explain procedures. Their front room staff are amazing as well. So friendly and helpful! I'm one of those people whose eyesight is so bad I can't tell what new frames look like on me. They were all so patient in helping me pick out just the perfect frames. And they actually scheduled an appointment to fit my glasses when they came in! No chain business is going to do that for you. Lastly, I was floored that the price of my glasses were less expensive than at other chain businesses. You would think it would be the opposite. They took my insurance and patiently broke down all the prices. I just love this place! The whole experience was such a pleasure.

Dr Tan and Dr Mar are both great doctors who also happen to be kind, patient, and caring as well. I actually enjoy my appointments! They take time with all their patients, and they manage to do that without keeping you waiting for your appointment. They are very thorough with their care, they listen to any concerns or questions that you may have. I feel I'm in the best of hands with them as my eye doctors.I have been going there since they opened their practice and I wouldn't ever want to go any where else.

Dr. Tan is the best eye doctor I have ever seen. She and her staff are very pleasant, and it's clear that she really cares about her patients. When I first went to her, I was having trouble seeing as clearly as I should. Dr. Tan repeatedly gave me trial lenses so that I could test out several lenses and ultimately pick the lenses that gave me the best results. She also rarely keeps me waiting when we arrive for an appointment, which is uncommon for most doctors. I wouldn't see anyone else after seeing Dr. Tan.

Had an unplanned visit to Northport Eye Care. On short notice they fit me in. Dr. Mar and his staff were friendly and very accommodating. I got a thorough exam and new eyeglass prescription. I would highly recommend this business to anyone requiring glasses or contacts!!
