I've been a client at Smith's Optical of Oyster Bay for over ten years and I hope to continue for as long as possible! The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming and they always make me feel comfortable. Additionally, Robert is always professional, knowledgeable, and he always takes the time to thoroughly explain my eye health and the different options for glasses and contacts. Smith's Opticals offer an impressive selection of stylish frames and Robert always helps me find the perfect pair that suits my face and fits comfortably. The entire process is always smooth and efficient. Furthermore, their new optometrist, Mary Ann Rubertone, is an absolute pleasure! I highly recommend Smith's Opticals to anyone looking for great service, expert care, and a wide variety of eyewear options!

My husband and I highly recommend Smith Optical in Oyster Bay . They have the best selection of designer glasses. You get a much better level of personalized service From Smith Optical than you would from the chain stores and the prices were the same if not less as if we went with a chain store. It was so hard to decide since I loved so many. Robert was super helpful and has a great eye as to what looks best for your face shape. My husband and I were so happy with our new glasses we actually ordered another pair when we picked up our glasses. Thank you Robert. We are now loyal customers

The optical experience at Smith's Optical in Oyster Bay was nothing less then exceptional. Robert has the insight to guide one through the process of choosing and fitting a customer with the perfect eye glasses and in my case sunglasses that ending up making me look as though I just walked off a movie set or the red carpet. Not much more can be said about the level of attention and service Smith's Optical offers to each and I can only assume every customer who walks though their door. Extremely well done I'll always recommend Smith's optical to anyone who asks for my autograph and comments on my new shades.

I have been going to Smith's Optical for the last 4 years (3 pairs of glasses) and I can honestly say I won't be switching back to the chain stores any time soon. The boutique frames (Oliver Peoples, etc.) and service by Robert are not matched anywhere in the local area. The optometrist, Howard Fishman, is the perfect complement to the unique set up they have. The thoroughness of exam, precision of the frame setup and frame selection are the reasons that I will keep going back.

I began working with Robert and his staff February 2020. I have worn prescription eyeglasses for over 55 years and have never had a proper prescription made for me, nor did I ever find frames that fit my face. Robert and Dawn helped me find beautiful frames in less than 10 minutes. He not only made sure the prescription was perfect, he made sure the frames were comfortable. I needed progressive and transition lenses. I also have issues with a need for a change in prescription (function of my astigmatism) in relatively short periods of time. This time I brought my friend to Robert. He took her needs (sensitivity to light) and prescription issues into consideration and both of us left today knowing there is no better optician here in NY. If you travel from anywhere to here, you will have made a great decision. Your eyes are so important!!

Thank you to Smith's Optical for a lovely experience! Being new to the area I was so happy to find them. Picking out new glasses is never easy but they were all so knowledgeable, kind and helpful. I most definitely recommend and will be back to get new sunglasses my next time in.

Went to Smith Optical for new frames & lenses, while there I asked Robert the owner to adjust my old frames since I'd have to wait for the new lenses to come in.While making the adjustment he noticed that something was wrong with the lens that was in there, after much measuring, calculating and adjusting, Robert found that the lenses were placed incorrectly and proceeded to fix the problem that my old Optometrist said was something I'd have to get use to being they were progressive lenses and it takes time to get use to them, and that was 2yrs ago!! Robert was able to fix them in my first visit and I can see so much better now, can't wait to get my new lenses cause Robert says if you think you can see good now wait till he puts the new ones in. The man KNOWS what he's doing. If you live in Oyster Bay, Smith Optical is the place to go and if you don't, Smith Optical is worth the trip.

Large selection of the latest style eyewear. Robert gives personal attention and I never feel rushed or pressured.His work is meticulous. I got my first prescription here and I have been satisfied with every pair of glasses I have purchased.
