I went to Dr. Larouche on 7/16/25. He gave me a prescription for new glasses. I had the prescription filled @ a different eyeglass place.after about a month I wasn't seeing very well out of the glasses. I went back to where I had had the prescription filled & was told the prescription was correct according to the prescribed order. I tried to give it more time to adjust to but after 5 months I still couldn't see very well out of the glasses so I called to make an appointment with Dr. Larouche office, I explained that I wasn't seeing well out of the prescription. I was told I didn't need an appointment for this. I went in on December 15 and was told since it had been 6 months since the prescription I would have to pay $50. To be seen for the issue . I truly believe that this office is not very professional.if a patient has been misdiagnosed & given a wrong prescription the office should have been moral enough to correct the problem without another payment. It was the doctor's fault. Now, I have to wait another 2 yrs before my insurance will cover the cost again. I'm very upset about this because I'm really having a problem seeing from this prescription. Dr. Larouche should not be a doctor if he's not willing to correct his mistakes!

I would like to first say that I support business in my community. As a person who came into this establishment for a checkup and I came in 45 minutes early to make sure that all my information was correct . The customer service at the front desk is unprofessional. They need to be held responsible for the rude customer service today. The company needs to trained these 2 women who sit at the front desk. I asked for a pen to fill out the paperwork and I was given attitude. I have every right to ask questions about my time of appointment. To say that I am rude because I needed to ask when will I be seen. It's the holiday season be kind to people who come in to see the Doctor. We pay your salary with our insurance.

I had a great experience with Dr Laroche and his staff. They were professional yet down to earth, which made me feel comfortable and at ease. The doctor's bedside manner and communication skills were exceptional. They took the time to listen to my concerns and explain everything in detail. I was impressed by their knowledge and expertise, which made me feel confident in their care. The office and equipment were clean and well-maintained. Scheduling appointments was easy and convenient, and the wait time in the office was on time. Overall, I would highly recommend this eye doctor to anyone looking for quality care.

Our appointment was 11:30 we came on time, there was one patient before sitting down but after that 5 people came they didn't call us until 01:00 pm. They called those 5 people everyone came after. System there is horrible. I knew you wouldn't believe my comment but watch the camera at least they skipped with 5 patients me all came after me. And watch the camera what time I came in if you were saying I came late. Ok if was late so whoever came after me they all were late? Doesn't matter if I come before them? And I came on schedule time? They just clearly and intentionally did it. There was a clear discrimination.

If I could give the is office a 0 rating I would. They are very unprofessional. I booked an appointment over the phone. They took all the insurance information and said I was all set to be seen. When I arrived there, I waited almost an hour to be seen by the receptionist - she was too busy on the phone trying to figure out what to eat for breakfast. She informed me the insurance was not accepted and I would have to either pay out of pocket or be seen elsewhere. I called the head office to give a complaint and they informed me the insurance is actually accepted and their notes states I was seen which I never was. Biggest scam! They are trying to bill the insurance and did not even provide a service. Do not go to this practice. They are very unprofessional.

The WORST place I've ever experienced Advanced Eye Care 215-43 Jamaica Ave. Queens Village, N.Y. 11428. He wants to sell me glasses do surgery pretty much to build the insurance. I went to another ophthalmologist and none of those things were necessary WILL NEVER NEVER recommend this place

Very unprofessional. They have zero consideration on people time. The front desk girl is very rude and unprofessional. Our appointment was booked for about a week not once they informed us that they did not accept the insurance. The girl just blame it on a new staff member. Is there no one overlooking the new staff member! What pissed me off that she blamed us the patient. How dare you!!!!! Worse place ever!!!

My experience today at the office of Dr Laroche was excellent! Everybody in the office was polite, helpful and efficient, and Dr L himself was very thorough, and he answered all my questions and concerns. Definitely a very good experience and I would recommend him and his practice without any reservations. Thank you!
