I had an absolutely outstanding experience at Pearle Vision in Stony Brook. From the moment I walked in, the entire team was welcoming, professional, and genuinely focused on helping me. You can immediately tell when a place truly cares about their customers, and this location absolutely does. I have to give special recognition to Carol. She was simply exceptional. Her knowledge, patience, and kindness were on another level. She took the time to explain everything clearly, answered all my questions, and made sure I felt completely comfortable with every decision. You rarely come across someone who is this professional, this knowledgeable, and this genuinely caring all at the same time. To be honest, I could go on and on about how great she was. Carol is the kind of person every business hopes to have on their team. If more people in customer service were like her, the world would be a much better place. If you're looking for great service and a team that truly cares, this Pearle Vision location is the place to go

Very professional and thorough exam. Friendly and professional drs. Easy to get an appt that works in my busy schedule. Great selection of glasses and contacts. I've been bringing my kids here for years... we will keep coming back!

I go here for all of my eye exams and for my glasses. I'm always well taken care of and treated with kindness. Their staff is what keeps me coming back. Always courteous, friendly and extremely helpful. They also have a great selection of frames.

Did not expect to have a fun time during an eye exam but I absolutely did! The manager was (so sorry I didn't get his name) welcoming, and, when I asked if he could tighten frames on two pair of glassed not purchased there, no problem! Done in less than five minutes. My entire visit, with exam and follow up, completed within 20 minutes. No wait, with appointment, to see the doctor. Dr. Kirshen answered my many questions patiently and thoroughly. And the staff, Peggy, Carol, Sophia, and Rosa, were delightful. Professional and emphatic staff. All focused on their customers. Clean and well maintained facilities.

Great Experience @ this time of the year!! Don't wait until the last minute at the end of your medical flex spending year to buy your glasses when salespeople are completely stressed out... I received excellent assistance from 3 different people and one was nicer than the next. They were thoughtful and accommodating. I WILL be heading back there next summer for my annual set of glasses. This is my second time at Pearle Vision after having moved to the Three Village area, Angela gives excellent customer service, she explains your plan carefully and helps you pick out frames. The doctor was very nice and patient as well. My son's glasses had broken and they made new ones for him on the spot, they only had premium anti glare but charged me for standard. These are people that actually care.

Great place for a quick exam BUT worst place to buy glasses and contact lenses. I've been here for years and it progressively gets worse year after year. There is a woman ( I will spare her name) that runs the place like a used car salesperson). First, she will tell you to buy frames as a backup to your contact lenses as the frames will last for years to come. Then, a year later, she will tell you that the frames are not recommended to be updated with new lenses as it will risk being damaged while replacing the lenses as the frames are now a year old, brittle, and out of warranty. Can you guess what she recommended I do next? Yep...She strongly advised I buy new frames. Even though I only used them sparingly over my contact lenses. So... After I decline buying another set of frames, for obvious reasons I kindly re-explained to her, she gave me an attitude for making "the wrong choice". To me and in the presence of my young daughter. What on earth is wrong with you people?? We were kind and friendly and this is how you treat your customers/patients? Disgusting. Shameful. If you happen to go there, you will quickly know which one is the used car salesperson. Normally, you would chalk this to "just a bad employee out of the mix", however, no other employee has corrected her. It's a small space! All of the staff can hear and see each other clearly. People are sick and tired of being treated like garbage. Particularly when we are hiring you for a service that should only result in kind exchanges. Who expects to be put in a confrontational state at an eyewear facility??? No one! So... Goodbye PearleVision. Hello, to any other place. Period. PS: Spare me the typical Google-Review-Apology in an effort to dismiss my experience or to console the others reading this, that there has been some "mistake". That marketing strategy is disgusting. You want to correct it? Call me directly with an apology as my name is obviously provided here. However, we both know you will apologize here for the public credit. If so, I urge the readers to read between the lines in their efforts.

I called this location and spoke to Penny prior to me coming in to confirm my insurance is accepted. I have an eye disease that makes me extremely sensitive to light and a bad hip that needs shots. I live 40 mins away. I got to this location by medical taxi after penny assured me I didn't need an appointment and my insurance was accepted. When I got there 4 hours later two of her co workers informed me my insurance in fact was not accepted and Penny could have confirmed that all by typing in my name and date of birth. To no one's fault but my own I got stranded there by the medical taxi company. I was so appalled and astonished that when Penny's co workers informed her that she mis informed me SHE DIDNT EVEN APOLOGIZE ! She just said "ohhhhhhh okay is she still here? Ohhh okay". The other two co workers were as nice as possible but I felt so disrespected by this complete unprofessional behavior and response. If you want sufficient accurate ethical help at this location do yourself a favor and avoid Ms.Penny since it doesn't seem like she takes her job seriously nor has the decency to take any accountability.
