Why would I leave a positive review for a lab that destroyed my custom designer glasses? Because what matters isn't whether something goes wrong -- it's how a business responds when it does.
I brought in my own frames for lens installation, and unfortunately the frames were damaged during the process. The initial handling by front staff was very frustrating and unclear, and for a moment it felt like I might be stuck with a bad outcome.
Once the store manager became involved, everything changed. Shiek was outstanding -- calm, accountable, and genuinely committed to making things right. He immediately took responsibility, processed a full refund, and handled the situation with professionalism and care. Thank you! I was also very impressed with the optometrist, who was thoughtful, communicative, and professional throughout.
Mistakes happen. What matters is whether a business stands behind its work. While the early part of this experience was difficult, the way management ultimately handled it is the reason I'm leaving a positive review. I left feeling heard, respected, and confident in how the situation was resolved.
I do hope there's an opportunity for improvement in how front-of-house issues are initially handled, but credit where it's due -- strong leadership made all the difference here.
Needed vision test for drivers license. Their printer didn't work so they said they would email it. Didn't receive. Called, but no one picked up and routed to call center. They could not get ahold of anyone and put the request in. Received exam report several days later.
I was notified that my glasses were shipped. Called into auto assistant. Glasses were ready at location. I go to location and they were closed for lunch !! Though google and others statwd they were open. So now i am waiting 90 minutes for them to reopen
I had an eye exam appointment scheduled for 1 PM. It is now 2:15 as I write this, and I am still waiting. I am debating about leaving as it was never my intention to spend my entire afternoon here, and I have not eaten lunch. Not sure why I bothered scheduling an appointment! I definitely won't be returning!
NO STARS--even though I had to give it 1star in order to post a review! Change the name of the Jefferson Valley Mall location to VISION DON'T WORKS! This location is horrible: they have ONE optometrist on site! That defeats the purpose of coming in to the store, especially when she takes a day off on Tuesday and that's their "walk in" day without an appointment! I only needed to have my Near & Far prescriptions made into one progressive scrip. When the optometrist was there, she said she couldn't do that at Visionworks and I'd have to go to my own optometrist to get the scrip combined. My optometrist thought this policy was just plain absurd for Visionworks to have -- and a waste of their time. I came back to VisionWorks within 30 minutes and guess what? SHE'S NOW ON A 2 HOUR LUNCH BREAK! And all she had to do to accept the new progressive scrip was mark the glasses with a highlighter for the lab!! This was something ANYONE employed at Visionworks could have done, but all of your employees balked at the idea since your optometrist was not on the premises. I've been going glasses stores for over 30 years, and I have to say VisionWorks is the WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD GOING TO A GLASSES STORE. EVER!! If my insurance changed, I'd get away from VisionWorks just from this horrid experience alone!
Called a day in advance to see if they did eye screenings for DMV license renewals, they said yes and to just walk in, no appointment needed. Arrived the next day and the five people working there had no clue, waited 30+ minutes only to be told couldn't help me. The lady in the black shirt was openly rude as well saying she didn't want to be responsible if I went out and killed someone. Horrible experience, I do not recommend.
My review is just about the glasses, lenses and frames. This location has a great variety of frames for adults and kids. The services are very fast. The prices are reasonable and most of the time they have some sort of sale going on. The customer service is very accommodating and they open every week day until 6 pm
I went in a couple weeks ago to get fitted for contacts and new glasses. They told me once they would have them in 10 days and if I don't hear back from them to call. It's been over 10 days and I called the number on Google and it just sent me to a horrible AI. It put me on hold for my entire lunch break, then when it said it reached the store, there was a busy signal and hung up. Twice. I work odd hours so I rarely ever have time to come in. I've seen on here that they seem to respond to google reviews so I'm leaving one here in hopes that they respond. If any employee is reading this, please respond with a direct number to your store so I can speak to a real person. It should be public.
First time buying frames from here. I think the staff are doing their best to operate this office. I was grateful for all of their support and attentiveness. Thank you.
