From the moment I arrived it was a pleasant experience. I did not have to wait long and all of the techs who did some testing were absolutely lovely and explanatory and polite. Dr Wenthen actually asked me questions about certain symptoms I was having and gave me a chance to speak as well as explaining my condition in simple terms so that I could understand it. He has a very gentle nature and a wonderful bedside manner. He even referred back to a concern I had before I left my appointment and didn't forget that I asked that question. I have been writing reviews lately because when someone is a standout and their office is a positive experience, it is so rare that I must share that positive information. As well as the unpleasant experiences.

Dr. Wenthen completed his undergraduate studies at College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA, where he graduated magna cum laude with a BA in Biology. He went on to SUNY State College of Optometry, where he completed clinical internships at New York Vision Group in Manhattan, Northport VA Medical Center, and SUNY's University Eye Center. Dr. Wenthen is experienced in general optometry for both adults and pediatric patients as well as ocular disease and contact lens fitting. Dr. Wenthen resides in Amawalk with his wife. In his free time, he enjoys running, hiking, and playing the piano.
