Overcharged for a pair of glasses. They asked me to call my insurance to get verification on what I should have paid and yep, we were overcharged. When faced with that I just got a blank stare.

Dr. Coleman is a gifted Eye Doctor who has an excellent and outstanding bedside manner when dealing with any questions her patients may have. She takes the time to explain in layman's terms the intricacies and complexities of the regions surrounding your eyes and what you can do to improve your eyesight. In these days of ovrburdened medical professionals it is truly refreshing to forward these unsolicited comments about this wonderful Doctor. I feel Blessed to have her as my eye Doctor!

I am writing to inform you that I will no longer be a patient at Mahopac Ophthalmology due to my ongoing frustration with the receptionist and office management. The environment has consistently been chaotic and unorganized. The final straw for me was when I called to make an appointment and was placed on hold, only to be forgotten. After 20 years as a patient, I have decided it is time to make a change. Please fix your office.

This review is solely based on my encounter with the receptionist. She was extremely rude and condescending. If you are going to have someone as the face and contact person for your office, you should have someone who is at least patient and polite. I had such a negative experience at the office because of her. Will not be returning.

Incredibly rude on the phone. Hung up on me twice so I had to use a different number. I asked if they were accepting new patients and they indicated yes, but their computer was down and they couldn't help me right now. They were in a huge rush to get me off the phone.

I decided to discontinue services with Site MD as they are impossible to contact; this after receiving a reminder for an annual checkup. I decided to try Mahopac Ophthalmology. I left a VM which was not returned. I then tried to e-mail but it wouldn't go through. I called again today and they answered the phone, only to tell me to call back later as they were on lunch break. SMH....
