I had an amazing experience at Stanton Optical! The customer service was top-tier from start to finish. The entire team worked together so efficiently, making the process smooth, fast, and stress-free. They provided great recommendations, answered all my questions, and truly went the extra mile to make sure I was satisfied.
What I appreciated most was their ability to produce my item in store instead of having to order online such a huge convenience and time saver! You can really tell everyone there is focused on teamwork and providing excellent service.
I highly recommend going to Stanton Optical if you're looking for great service, efficiency, and a team that genuinely cares about their customers.
Had such an amazing experience with Candy, it was my first time at a new eye place & she was so friendly & helpful, very welcoming. She explained everything so well & was able to help me look for glasses that fit me well. Also Tyler she was friendly & helpful as well. Both Tyler & Candy were able to help me save money on glasses will definitely recommend anyone to come here! :)
The initial experience here was actually pleasant. Arranging an appointment was easy, the pre- and actual eye exam went by smoothly. It all went wrong when they pulled me out on the floor to try to sell me their glasses. I generally order my glasses online but was willing to hear out their promotions, and when I heard the prices that just didn't sound like it was worth it at all. No big deal, right?
Wrong. Associate named Toni got visibly displeased when I asked if I could just have my prescription and be on my way. This is my first time at Stanton but all my other previous optometrists have never acted as offended as she did. "What do you need your prescription for?" is what she asked me, in a tone that very much so sounded like she didn't want me to even think of taking my business elsewhere. Mind you, I was here ONLY for an eye exam. I explained to her I had a price I was looking for and I knew I could get what I wanted for cheaper where I normally go (Zenni) so I'd just like my prescription since the frames I liked here, with 50% off promotion for the frames and most of my lenses, would cost me $320. No features added on except for antiglare for my astigmatism.
She tells me "Let me go talk to the big boss." Ma'am, this is not a car dealership or anything like that, why are we negotiating my business over a prescription I already paid to have for my eye exam? In this free market? But okay. She comes back 5 minutes later with a counter offer, one that sounds even less appealing. Uglier frames, less features, still for like $240. "Yeah, I'd like to just get my prescription, if you don't mind." "Where you going to get your glasses from? Hm?" "Zenni. I can get more of what I want for much cheaper than this." I was admittedly getting less kind and understanding with each counter offer, but then she says, "Let me see your glasses," and, unprompted, just comes around me to examine and then insult my glasses by saying, "We can do much better than *those* things but if you want plastic, we can get you plastic."
Ma'am, I actively LIKE my glasses. And even if I didn't, I didn't ask? I just want my prescription. She leaves to get the 4th counter offer that I didn't ask for. Once she returns, she just comes back and when she tries to give me another price, I just plainly go, "Just give me my prescription." She puts on a snide grin and says, "You are just a really hard sell, aren't you?" I smiled back and return the attitude with, "Sorry. :)" Then when we move to the desk, and she has my card IN HER HANDS to finish this godforsaken transaction so I can just get my prescription that I was here for from the start, she, once again, tries to get me to buy from them. I tell her, "No," she has me sign for a coupon anyways, then I get my card and stuff back.
The lady for the exam was very kind. The "big boss" referred to by Toni was also chill, accepted me wanting to shop elsewhere perfectly well and just let me know that they do price matching, but I'll be damned if I return here when I could possibly be serviced by Toni. I am a very kind and understanding person, especially to customer service workers, so to have one of the single most insulting visits for anything ever get me genuinely heated, it's a miracle I don't give this place a one star just for how mad it made me. But the rest of the kind ladies there don't deserve that, so this review is explicitly about Toni, and I see multiple other negative reviews on here regarding her: she's a problem and you may want to consider hiring otherwise. None of her tactics endeared to buy anything from Stanton at all, I won't even be considering this place for a future exam unless I hear some changes in employees have been made. And you can check my Google Reviews, I really don't make calls like this EVER, but this was absurd.
To be held hostage at an optometrist for a little under a half hour longer when it was purely of their own persistence to have my money, that's not how you upsell or anything. Do not recommend.
