Mebane Vision Center

Having new insurance coverage that did not cover my previous provider. Mebane Vision Center was located nearby and was covered though so I made a new patient appointment there. Had my initial visit yesterday and I was thoroughly impressed. The moment I walked in, eight minutes prior to my appointment I was greeted and as I had filled out all of the paper work online I only had to sit in the waiting room without any further papers to fill out. The waiting room was very clean and comfortable as were the exam rooms. I was taken for the initial exam right at my appointment time and afterward the Dr. came in almost immediately. And even after dilating my pupils he was very prompt in completing the exam. The eye exam was thorough and Dr. Benfield was very pleasant and friendly, and seeing from his bio that he had completed a residency in ocular disease and pathology, his exam was certainly more complete and professional than the average Optometrist. Seeing some of the other staff reviews I assume that they have either been replaced or corrected as everyone I had contact with was pleasant and helpful. Definitely a five star experience for me.

It really is great when you encounter someone with great customer service. They are pleasant and go out of their way to work things out for you. This doesn't happen all of the time, so when it does, I go out of my way to say thank you. You are so very appreciated, and do a great job. You have a pleased and loyal customer in me! Office staff were unfriendly. I purchased my daughter's glasses from here and after two weeks of wear the screw that connects the frame and lens came out. Poor quality frames and unfriendly staff, I will not be returning.

Can't speak to the care from the Doctor, but the staff on the phone was definitely dismissive. I'd recommend that if you are going to have an online scheduling feature that it work, and that if it is not working, then you take it off your website. It's 2024, it's not that difficult or time-consuming to update a webpage. I called after requesting an appointment online a week ago only to be told very nonchalantly that the online portal was not working. No apology, nothing. Just yeah, that isn't working. The date I originally requested, which was already over a month out at the time, was now taken, and I would've had to wait an additional week. I would've liked to support a local smaller business, but unfortunately, if that is the level of care you give to new patients, no thank you. My job requires communication with clients, and if I treated them that way, then I think I wouldn't have any business. UPDATE: Technology may not be under your control, but how you speak to patients is. Looks like all your negative reviews are about how people are treated in your office.

My first visit and I was very pleased with Dr. Chen and staff...very friendly and welcoming. I was always used to my regular eye doctor in Durham. The appointments were all filled until the middle of January 2021, but to my advantage, now I have a new doctor and location close to home. Dr. Chen was very pleasant and confident in my diagnosis and had staff to make a very quick referral in which I was seen the next day. Very, Very, Very pleased!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks to the entire team that assisted me during my visit!! Highly Recommended!!!!

Sent my teenage children for their appointments while I was working. This was their first appointment with Mebane Vision Center. Both teens loved and raved about Dr. Chen. Both also commented on how nice the entire staff was from beginning to end. It made them feel very comfortable. They said they felt heard versus just another number. Great customer service is hard to come by these days, and MVC has it figured out! Good job, keep being awesome!

I recently visited the Mebane Vision Center and could not be happier with the service that I received. For the first time in years I received an excellent exam, and the perfect prescription. Dr. Benfield took his time to make certain that I was happy with the results. Ashley, the Office Manager helped me pick out the perfect frames, placed my order efficiently and quickly. Both Dr. Benfield and Ashley were courteous and professional They genuinely cared that I had a great experience. I received my glasses quickly and could not be happier! The office and location are perfect.

Staff was super friendly! But boy did they get me good lol. I was originally told I had to pay an additional $80 on top of my visit for lenses. Found out this was for the trial pair and for my fitting? I've never had to pay for a Trial pair of contacts. I guess I should have asked more questions?
