A huge thank you to Dr. Leidenix and the staff of the Eye Clinic of North Dakota! I had cataract surgery in both eyes and chose to have light adjustable lenses to replace my natural lenses after removal of my cataracts. I was extremely nearsighted, but was fortunate to wear contacts for 50 years!! The light adjustable lenses were the best option to me, to be able to see without ever wearing glasses or contacts, after the surgery. The lenses cost more and the process with wearing goggle glasses to protect my eyes from light until the light adjustments were completed were well worth it!! Thank you to the representatives from the lens conpany also. They were at my surgeries and light adjustments to observe as one of the first patients at the clinic to chose these lenses. What great service! The whole process was very professional and overall a miracle to me. I can see better than I ever have my whole life. Truly amazing! I was overwhelmed with emotion after the first lens surgury. Dr. Leidenix and the whole staff were great and provided wonderful care as I went through the process! Again, thank you all. I can't say enough for the great experience I had!! Thank you to Bismarck Surgical Center also! Class Act!!

My initial experience was not positive. Be prepared to wait and wait and wait. I was there for almost 3 hours for an initial Cataract Surgery consultation. I entered the building at 10:20 am for a 10:40 am appt. The waiting room was plum full with hardly an open seat. The receptionist was not personable at all, very condescending! Ugh, I'm not an idiot or a child! Then I sat and waited and waited. I was finally called at 11:10 for my first part of the exam. Sent back to waiting room and waited another half hour or so before I was taken back to dialate my eyes. The gal wasn't rude but definitely not personable, Then directed to another waiting room to wait to see the actual Doctor. Finally, got in to see the doctor and for the first time felt like a real person. He was great and I really liked him, the only positive thing about the whole process. I was then directed back to the second waiting room to wait again for the person who actually schedules the surgery. After another long wait I finally got in to see her. Not a very personable person either. Shocked to find out I had to pay out of pocket $85 for eye drops when I was told it was all covered under Medicare. Ugh! I finally walked out at 1:15 pm. I think they overbook and I felt like an 'it' being herded through their convoluted, impersonal process (with the exception of the Dr.) Because I felt comfortable with the doctor, I agreed to the surgery and hope it goes well, but still feeling very uneasy! The office staff and process needs improvement to alleviate the long wait times and help patients feel at ease. This was the Bismarck office, will be doing my surgery and follow-up in Dickinson so I'll update afterwards.

My father was referred to this clinic from the IHS in Fort Yates and was treated horribly all the way until he walked out of the exam room himself. He showed up for his appointment early, was out into an exam room and left there for over a hour and a half without any interaction from the Doctor or staff because another patient who came in after him was being attended to first (no emergency issue or anything she just had somewhere else she needed to be after). My father has been waiting for this appointment for weeks as his issues with his eyes as he is partially blind are very serious- we will NEVER use this facility again due to this experience and will be telling everyone who asks just how patients are really treated.

I have been struggling for the past seven years between contacts, glasses, experiencing double vision and severe dry eyes. Dr. Hanstad has seen me on two separate occasions prescribing prescription drops to increase the health of both corneas. My corneas improved and at my last visit I was refracted for a new eyeglass prescription. I am able to see one image (not two or three) and no headaches! In the past seven years, I have been under the care of several ophthalmologists located at Fargo. I appreciate Dr. Hanstad's professionalism, integrity and genuine concern he exhibits for his patients. Dr. Hanstad is also working with me on my severe dry eyes (which were also affecting my vision). Thank you very much Dr. Hanstad for giving me back my vision and quality of life!

To anyone looking to get lasik i totally recommend this place! Super friendly and helpful through the whole process. Only take 10mins top during procedure and they talk to you throughout it all. Very exceptional experience and my eyes were 100% better after two hours!

Had a 8:20 appointment with Dr.Schnaidt after 40 minutes I asked how long will it be. The receptionist said it could be a 2-3 hour wait. Don't go here it's ridiculous to wait that long. I have an 8:00am appointment at the other eye clinic Wednesday and will review them when done.

I would recomend The Eye Clinic of North Dakota to anyone who needs their eyes tested or worked on! Very friendly staff and Doctors who go the extra mile checking everything they can. I felt very comfotable because the doctor was very thorough and explained to me what he was seeing during the exam.
