We absolutely adore Dr Samson!! My daughter saw him the first time before she was 1. Turns out she needed glasses. She is 6 now and we have been seeing him yearly. He is so kind, friendly and goofy! He has "Zoe the Zebra", plays games and even wiggles his ears!!
I also started seeing him for my vision care, and my mom made an appointment now, too! He is an incredible doctor and makes the appointment enjoyable. I highly recommend him for kids, but he is great for everyone!!
The entire staff at Dakota Eye Institute is great, from the front desk to the optometry assistants and the opticians. Everyone is friendly and helpful!

Dr Samson has been seeing my daughter since she was about 6 months old. He is so great with young kids! My daughter doesn't fuss or cry at all during appointments because he makes it fun for them. He takes my concerns seriously and answers every question I may have. We travel over 1.5hrs to see him but he's worth it! Would recommend him to anyone!

The doctor and the nurse that asked us questions when first got in room. They were both fantastic. The doctor made my great grandson so relax . A few years ago at different clinic had bad Expreince when they put drops in his eyes and it hurt and the doctor told him to get over it. So happy found Dr. Samson.

Dr. Thomas Samson joined Dakota Eye Institute in 1995. He attended the University of Minnesota and the University of North Dakota. He is a 1988 graduate of Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, OR. In addition to his years of clinical practice, Dr. Samson spent five years as a faculty member at Pacific University with primary teaching duties in children's vision, strabismus and vision therapy. Dr. Samson is married and has two children. He enjoys making music, golfing, mountain biking, skiing and snowboarding.
