I feel comfortable coming here. (I was coming here prior to the other Dr retiring. So I was wary of a new physician.) So I can say, front staff are so nice and welcoming. Any questions answered, appointment requests accommodated. Dr Mechas is soft-spoken, and highly qualified. Easy to talk to. Exams go as expected. Information relevant to you. All in all, a wonderful office visit.

I was having difficulty with my insurance approving a specific eye drop and Dr. Mechas went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of. My appointment with Dr. Mechas was thankfully scheduled within 1.5 hours of my urgent call to CSI regarding what was ultimately determined to be a non-serious dry eye problem. She agreed to fill in for my regular eye doctor who was not immediately available. After a very thorough examination she not only determined the root of the problem but throughout the visit provided me with assurance that I was being well taken care of, which greatly eased my anxiety. Her follow up included a call to my established doctor along with photos, and a return call to me. She could not have been more professional, more caring, nor more reassuring. She is an excellent physician and CSI is fortunate to have her on their staff.

Took way too long. Appointment at 12:30. Didn't see doctor until 3:10. Doctor is great and took only ten minutes. .So many resting procedures and several waiting rooms exposed to people coughing.

About Evelyne Mechas, OD

Evelyne Mechas, OD was born in Canada and raised in Lexington, Kentucky where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Spanish at The University of Kentucky. After her undergraduate studies, Dr. Mechas moved to Columbus and received her doctorate from The Ohio State University College of Optometry. Dr. Mechas continued her education by completing an Ocular Disease Residency Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, Florida. She is happy to return to Ohio and serve the Cincinnati community. Dr. Mechas has experience in comprehensive exams- including glasses and contact lenses, ocular emergency visits, diabetic eye exams, dry eye treatment, macular degeneration, and has a passion for managing glaucoma.
