Bethel Vision Center

This used to be a great place to get eye care but I haven't been able to get ahold of anyone to set up an appointment. For a while the phone would just ring and ring, no one would pick up and there was no way to leave a message. Then finally, I received an automated message to send a text and they would call me back. Great, I did that. Turns out they're closed on Fridays and Mondays. When I followed up on both Tuesday and Wednesday and they still didn't get back to me I decided to take my business elsewhere.

Been coming to BVC for years. My only complaint is that they don't take Care Credit. Even with insurance, the out of pocket expenses are high and having a payment plan that has a same as cash option would be helpful. That said, I love the Chemistrie options for lenses that click onto your primary lens using magnets, so you can use one frame and just add on sunglasses or readers! (see pics for clarification)

Excellent and prompt service, great doctors! I went in on Tuesday, October 14th to get my eyes checked. Was able to pick up my new glasses today (Oct 23rd) at 2:30pm! Notes: Appointment only, need to phone them.

Their website and Google listing show inaccurate hours. On the 3 days a week they are open, good luck trying to get anyone to pick up the phone. I've been calling for two weeks, leaving voicemails and no one will call me back. Decided to see a new doctor and they told me Dr. Schmelzer was prescribing incorrectly and I had been straining my eyes.

I've been going here for years, and ever since Dr. Jordan passed away, it's been awful. Unorganized, and impossible to get ahold of anyone. I have called several times a day for the past week, and I'm unable to get ahold of anyone. Will be taking my business elsewhere from here on out.

I have been going to Dr.Smelzer for more than 3 years They have always treated me with care. But the best part is they remind you ahead of time when your next appointment is due. Rick is so helpful and friendly. He always helps to guide you with purchases. I never feel rushed when I'm there which is a good feeling to have nowadays. I love this practice.

This review is a reflection of the office staff's timeliness and professionalism and NOT of the practicing physicians. After the unexpected passing of Dr. Jordan late last year, having no prior relationship with his partner in practice and the office being of some distance from where I live, I chose to find a new practice closer to my residence. I contacted the office in January of this year to inform them and requested that my records be shared with the new office. I was told by the female office worker that the new practice had to make the request. I completed the necessary release of information forms which in turn were faxed several times to Bethel Vision Center by my new practice. The staff at Bethel Vision Center did not send the records for an appointment that was scheduled for March. Today was my appointment and still Bethel Vision Center staff have not sent my information to the new practice.
