Go to a different location. The one one Miamisburg Centerville Rd has a great Dr. but the staff-specifcally Anthony are awful. They all back him up in defending his unprofessional and aggressive behavior by being cold ice princesses and being as difficult as possible. Examples-Oh-you need a trial pair of the contacts of your choice until your actual contacts come in because your current trial pair have expired because the Dr told you to give it plenty of time to "settle"yeah. No. Sorry! You need another appointment to meet with the Dr AGAIN because multifocal lenses are notoriously hard to get both near and far distances right-We'll make it extremely obvious how irritated we are to do our job. They're like a bunch of mean girls with Anthony as the linch pin. Nicole(optician), Rhonda(I can't remember, but her name started with an R), Stephanie, Natalie- all unprofessional and rude. Don't waste your time. Senior Management needs to clean house of this bunch.
Looking at their most recent reviews, this has been an ongoing problem for about a year. Poor customer service. It's a shame because the doc I saw is a very nice and extremely knowledgeable guy.
I have been an America's Best EyeCare Club member for over 10 years, and this specific store, hands down, is the worst customer experience I've ever had.
I made an appointment because my eye was irritated and I wanted a quick check-up. Instead of receiving care, I was rudely hit with a surprise charge. I was told my simple exam wasn't covered because it was suddenly "medical," and I would have to pay cash out of pocket. Confused I tried to explain that I just wanted a standard exam to make sure nothing was wrong, but the staff was completely unhelpful. They kept cutting me off, just repeating "It's medical, it's cash only." There was no explanation, no help, just terrible, dismissive service. After I realized I was getting nowhere,
I finally just walked out and made an appointment at the Wilmington Pike location. Where they were amazing!! Even telling me they didn't understand why that happened and kept apologizing for their behavior
Tldr: Avoid this store if you can! Save yourself the frustration and go to the one on Wilmington Pike. They actually care and treat customers with respect and professionalism.
Howl went above and beyond for me to get me a pair of glasses that were discontinued, he called stores all over the United States to find me a pair! He was successful and ordering them for me and got me the best value he could, he is very knowledgeable and Americas Best found the best when they hired him!
We had an appointment for Monday at 5:00 PM. When we made the appointment, they asked if we could come in 20 minutes early if the information was not filled out online. My mom couldn't do it because she doesn't speak English, so they asked me to bring someone who speaks English to translate for her. I said no worries, I would be there with her, and they said okay.
We got there 20 minutes early. I made time to be there to translate and help with everything. My mom had been receiving messages reminding her about the appointment. When we arrived, they didn't say hello or welcome us or ask how they could help. Instead, they said, "Yes, what do you need? Do you want to make an appointment?"
I said no, we were there for her appointment. He asked for her name and date of birth, and after giving him the information, he said her appointment had been canceled without us being notified or receiving at least a call letting us know. I asked who canceled it because we didn't, and he said he couldn't see that information on his side.
I was very upset because we were never notified about anything after making time to go there. The whole situation felt very unfriendly and awkward because of how it was handled.
I left my eye exam feeling extremely uncomfortable and unsure about the accuracy of my prescription. Several standard parts of an eye exam were skipped, and the exam itself did not feel thorough or professional.
More concerning, the doctor made repeated comments about my appearance, including remarks about how "cute" my tattoos and piercings are and how I would look in a bikini. These comments were unnecessary and made me feel incredibly uncomfortable.
I have tried multiple times to contact someone and have not received a meaningful response. Because of this experience, I am not comfortable returning and feel I wasted my money. I would not recommend this location or americas best period.
GO TO A DIFFERENT STORE, and preferrably not an America's Best in this area!
The doctor gave me a wrong prescription, and the technician changed the parameters for my glasses.
I still can't see out of the replacment set they gave me at the other America's Best.
Best thing about America's Best anymore is the Owl!
Just got glasses here, what a waste of money!! $600 down the drain, can't see anything with the close up, don't waste your money going here ,I can't see out of them. The arms on them are so long that they almost wrapped around my ear. What a waste of money what a bunch of garbage you would be better off staying home -/you might as well go over to the drugstore and get you a pair of readers would be better than what they put out.
Best experience I have ever had when getting an eye exam and glasses! Staff was friendly, helpful, funny, and work as a team. Prices were great and the manager personally helped me when 1 of the pairs I purchased wasn't working out. Also, came in a full week before I expected them. Love this place
