I am very happy with my experiences at CVP Dayton. All staff have been professional and helpful. I first saw Dr. Runkle-Weimer for evaluation for cataract surgery. Had thorough exam and informative consultation. Dr. Weimer listened to my concerns, answered my questions. Have had surgeries on both eyes with Dr. Weimer. Am grateful for her services, have confidence in her skill, and highly recommend. There was a complication during surgery for my second eye and the procedure could not safely be completed. Dr. Weimer, after doing what she could, fully explained what she encountered and what she did. She expedited a referral to one of her colleagues, fellowship trained in viteoretinal conditions and procedures. I was able to quickly have the necessary second surgery. Throughout I have been very impressed with Dr. Weimer's expertise and dedication to her patients. I am very appreciative that she made sure I got the car needed to safely address my cataract issue. Highly recommend.

Friendly and pleasant staff at check in and throughout the entire appointment. Dr.Runkle is professional and had a student with her. I personally think it's great that student's have the opportunity to learn different things in an office environment. I will always give permission for students to examine me. I enjoy my appointments.

Dr. Runkle did an AMAZING job at making me feel comfortable with my procedure. The stitches REALLY close to my eye were done perfectly and I am very happy with her. The 4 stars is because the wait in the office was really long once, I actually fell asleep

Dr. Mary Runkle-Weimer is an Ohio native who completed her undergraduate degree at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She received her doctor of medicine degree from Wright State University College of Medicine where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. She completed her transitional year residency at Kettering Hospital in Kettering, Ohio and her ophthalmology residency at Indiana University in Indianapolis, Indiana prior to completing a pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus fellowship at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center.
