Mehan Eye

Dr. Meehan is extremely thorough and attentive during the exam process. I'm very happy with my clear vision after cataract surgery and the care I received from this team.

I had already been to 3 different doctors. 1 of them said i had a serious injury, 1 said bifocals a very thick pair. The last said he only does severe eye injuries & said i know just the doctor you need. I was already discouraged. But from the moment i walked in i was made to feel comfortable. Everyone was so nice. I eventually within a month had my surgery. I went from super blurry vision in 1 eye to complete eye sight again. Dr. Mehan was caring from the 1st time i met him until my last visit. He never rushed my appointment. He listened to my questions & answered them by giving me the answer in which i could understand. I would & will recommend him every time to anyone that needs his eye services.

Everyone at this doctor's office has been fantastic. They have been extremely thorough and their bedside manner was amazing. They were knowledgeable and patient. They had to give us some bad news and they were very kind. We worked with Jacob Boroff and he was able to point us in the right direction and get my son the immediate help he needed.

I had an emergency eye issue in my left eye - I woke up and my left eye was cloudy, like the room was on fire. Dr. Meehan had me come in at 7am, to work me into his busy schedule and was able to quickly diagnose that I was having an adverse reaction to some steroid eye drops another Dr. had prescribed to me. He diagnosed me as a "steroid responder" (think peanut allergy...but for steroids). I stopped the steroid drops and Dr. Meehan handed me a bottle of drops to help drop my eye pressures from 36/28 to 12/15 just 2 days later when I saw the corneal specialist he also recommended. Dr. Meehan may have very well saved the sight in my left eye -- I can't think him and his staff enough. I wish there were 6 stars available. Highly recommended to say the least.

I had a great experience so far with Mehan Eye. Dr Mehan has been perfect and has exceeded my expectations. Very thorough and takes the time to make sure everything was great. Have had 2 follow-ups after my lasik and im so happy to have great vision now. Would definitely recommend

I had LASIK done by Dr Mehan a couple months ago and it was overall the best experience I could have imagined. Like everyone says and you will be too: I only wish I had gotten it done sooner!

I've been to at least 12 Drs 1/2 of them at OSU. I keep coming back to the Dr that treats me like a person. He cares more about my case than my family does. Dr Mehan goes 110% out of his way to treat his patients with kindness and expertise. I highly recommend this Dr Hands down one of the best!

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Mehan, his assistants, and the staff at Mehan Eye. Having cataract surgery is a big deal, at least to me, because you're talking about sight--my sight and the quality of sight I want to enjoy during my remaining years. Dr. Mehan gives careful attention to clarify the benefits of each particular inocular lens choice. My choice to use the Panoptix trifocal inocular implants far exceeds my hopes for a bright (pardon the pun) future. I couldn't be happier with the results. I highly recommend Dr. Mehan for your consideration. I would like to share a media post, describing my experience. I apologize in advance for its length. 'JUST HAD TO SHARE (long, but bare with me)...... A milestone in my life occurred this evening. A few weeks before Christmas, I had cataract surgery. Yep, just the subject matter made me feel as though I had joined the era of the dinosaurs. But life happens and I scheduled the surgery and smiled at the total realization that I was "aging." But, to get to the point of my post: I can't say enough about the wonderful outcome. What I didn't realize was that when having cataracts removed there are a few different implant choices. Since I've worn monovision contacts for several decades (one eye for distance; one eye for reading), I was leaning toward multifocal lenses (works similar to monovision contacts) rather than the typical distance lens. However, I was made aware of a new trifocal lens that seemed promising. I did a ton of research and read several reviews from those who made the trifocal lens their choice. I made the decision to take that leap of faith (I don't mind saying, it was a little terrifying since they are relatively new). OH MY GOODNESS! I'm so pleased that I made that choice. It was the perfect choice for me; maybe not for everyone, but for me it was. They have far surpassed my expectations. Now, HERE'S THE BEST PART: I threaded a needle tonight--the smallest needle eye I could find--without the help of a needle threader AND in a dimly lit area. Okay, you all can stop laughing now, but I was thrilled. You would have thought I won the lottery. I hesitated to post this "milestone" because there are many of my friends who have not yet reached this chapter in their lives. It probably seems very "oldish" and not relative, but someday it may be part of their life experience. Anyway, YEE HAW! I'm a happy camper. New technology and medical advances never cease to amaze me. So grateful: no more contacts and no glasses!'
