Mr. Michael Bloom

Called to try to get an emergency visit for a partial retinal detachment after being at the emergency room and being diagnosed with it! The person that took the phone call to make the appointment acted like it wasn't a emergency. So no biggie I cant see out of my eye! I may be blind for good....no big deal!

I remember when my 3 yr old daughter kept complaining that her eye was hurting her after playing on an old time swing set late one evening and I thought, oh no, what am I going to do!? It was around 7pm and I gave Dr. Michael Bloom a call and he very promptly returned my call and said meet me at my office asap at children's. Mind you it was going on 8 then. We got there went into the office and out comes Dr. Bloom takes her back in the office does the exam and says, I'm going to have to remove what looks to be metal shavings. I knew it! Those old swing set grinded so hard and she looked up ALOT. Dr. Bloom took her in and was so loving and kind and started drilling! Not 10 mins later Dr. Bloom picked up a cotton pad with metal shavings in it and said, I got all the metal out with a smile. What a relief! My girl didn't even cry. He gave her stickers and lots of praise. Kinda a long evening turned into night with such blessings. Dr. Bloom said, this was close as the metal was very close to her pupil. God guided him and I'm thankful for him leading me to Dr. Bloom. Now, he seen my granddaughter who's 6 thirty three yrs later. Love the bloom family, but yes I'm a little partial to Dr. Mike.
