William Martin

I was a patient of Dr. William Martin for several years before having LASIK, and I always trusted his care. Recently, I started having age-related vision changes and tried an optometrist closer to home, but the experience was disappointing. I decided to return to Dr. Martin's office, and I'm glad I did. His staff got me in the very next morning, and I saw Dr. Blake Pittser. He was extremely knowledgeable and took the time to explain exactly what was happening with my vision and options to manage dry eyes. He walked me through several options to address my issues and was very thorough. The staff was friendly and engaging. The environment is professional and welcoming.This is a perfect example of why quality of care matters more than convenience. I'm glad I made the switch back. I highly recommend Dr. Martin, Dr. Pittser, and their entire team.

I have been going to Dr. Martin for years. He is personable and, more importantly, good, at what he does. I'm also very pleased with his staff.

I have been to other Eye drs.and I trust Dr. Martin's professional skills. Plus he's personable; other Drs. Had superiority/ detached manners. I'm surprised at the reviews about desk people because I have only received Star treatment. Very nice, welcoming, kind, personable. For me it's been the best treatment.

I used to love visiting dr Martin. But the past few times I have found all staff to be rude and disrespectful. I saw each one of them complaining about patients while I was in the office to be waited on, and rolling their eyes. Absolutely rude. Will be finding another eye doc.

Husband had a horrible experience where he was double dosed) once by a staff member and then Dr. Martin dosed him again to dilate his pupils. His glacoma pressure shot way up to a dangerous level. Needless to say we never went back and now go to a great opthamologist who saved his eye sight.

Great eye doctor, horrible front desk staff. They gave me a $25 discount since they did not take my insurance only to turn around and mail a bill for $25 that I missed over the holidays and they charged me a late fee so instead of giving me a discount they made an additional $60, looking for new eye doctor suggestions now.

I left this practice after 15 years because I received an incorrect prescription and two follow-up appointments did not resolve the problem. My subsequent visit to another office made clear that the prescription Dr. Martin gave me was far too weak to meet my needs. Here are a few other things to know: 1. Office staff failed to record my two most recent appointments. Accordingly, both times, another patient was scheduled at the same time I was scheduled. When I shared my experience with Dr. Martin, his response gave me the impression that scheduling mistakes are fairly common. 2. The office is not open on Fridays. It is also completely closed from 11:30 to 1:00 Monday through Thursday. 3. They add 3% to your total if you pay with a credit card. 4. They do not digitize patient records; do not communicate by email, and do not have an online portal. They do not mail contacts. They rarely answer the phone. I suspect that they don't pay for long distance phone service because they don't call me back when I leave voicemail; instead they text me to ask me what I need (without taking the time to listen to my voicemail).

Dr Martin is amazing and a great person. Been going to him for years. However, his office staff are constantly rude, unprofessional, unpleasant and argumentative. Unfortunately.. we will not be going back and taking our business somewhere else.
