Dr. Christian Price - Price Family Eyecare Professionals (Lancaster, OH)
Dr. Christian Price is hands down one of the best healthcare providers I've dealt with, period. He truly cares about his patients and takes the time to listen, explain, and make sure you feel comfortable every step of the way.
The entire experience at Price Family Eyecare Professionals is top-tier -- from the moment you walk in, you're treated with respect and professionalism. Dr. Price is knowledgeable, thorough, and genuinely invested in getting things right, not rushing you through an appointment.
It's rare to find a doctor who combines expertise with real compassion, but Dr. Price absolutely does. If you're looking for an eye doctor in the Lancaster area who actually cares and delivers a great experience, this is the place to go. Highly recommend.
Sad to have to leave here, but I cannot seem to get anyone to call me back to schedule my daughter in to order new glasses due to a change in her Rx.
So the entire staff there is so very kind and helpful. And doc price is the bees knees!!! Just AWESOMENESS! After a few yrs of searching for a good eye doctor, my husband and I took a chance on a recommendation from a good friend and it paid off! Very professional staff all around and they don't try and push you to buy this or that like some other eye docs in town. Thank you Price Family Eye Care for such great eye care!
I ended up seeing that this location had a large number of 5 star reviews on google, so that's how I chose this practice. Every staff member was kind, efficient, and informative. I learned some things about the eye exam and the health of my eyes that I had never heard before in the 18-20 years I've experienced of getting eye exams. Doctor Price took the time to really educate me and recommend what he truly thought was best for me. You can tell that at this practice they value ethics and moral more than your money. They want you to be informed and taken care of and do it with a spirit of excellence. Would recommend to anyone and everyone!
Here's the too long didn't read version:
If you want to avoid a lengthy headache and losing your valuable time and money, find another eye doctor's office.
I paid for an eye exam for my contacts and purchased contacts through the Price Family Eyecare office in Lancaster, Ohio. They submitted a duplicate code.
This duplicate code was proven by my insurance advocacy agency. Despite this evidence, Price Family Eyecare's billing department refused to own up to their billing/coding mistake.
More context below
I've been going to the eye doctor for more than 20 years. Price Family Eyecare in Lancaster provided easily the worst experience I've ever had. The doctor was friendly and helpful during my visit. My issues involve the office staff and billing department.
Last April, I went in for a contact exam and purchased contacts through the Lancaster office. They billed my insurance for the contacts twice. My insurance obviously refused to cover a duplicated claim so I was stuck with a $60 bill that shouldn't have even existed.
I thought this $60 bill was suspicious so I contacted an insurance advocacy agency I had with my employer. I reached out to the Price Family Eyecare Lancaster office and was told to diregard the $60 bill while they worked with the advocacy agency to sort everything out.
However, I continued to receive bills in the mail, and the advocacy agency was unable to get in contact with the officer manager or billing department for an extended period of time. The excuses provided were that they were "unavailable" or "out of the office."
I contacted the Lancaster staff at least 5 times regarding my bill and next steps, and they told me they would inform their office manager and contact me with more information. They never contacted me throughout this process.
Additionally, I have 47 emails with my advocacy agency regarding this matter. Most of the emails talk about how they're waiting for a response from the billing department about their coding error.
Over 10 months, the Lancaster staff and billing department never provided an update. The billing department is still unwilling to own up to their mistake when provided with proof from the advocacy agency and my insurance company.
My advocacy agency instructed the billing department submit an updated, corrected claim to my insurance company. This was instructed months ago. When they finally submitted a corrected claim, it again contained a duplicate code.
Ultimately, I paid the $60 bill last week to avoid complications to my credit and be done with this situation. If you want to avoid a large headache, I'd find somewhere else for your eye care.
If the Lancaster office would like to discuss this issue further, call me. Anytime I've called you, I've gotten absolutely nowhere.
I have been going to Price Eyecare for years and I always see Dr. Christian Price. He is excellent, has great communication skills, has a wonderful bedsside mannter, and he does a good job of explaining things to me so that I can understand. The rest of the staff does a great job also. I've never had to wait very long, they are always polite, friendly, and they have always taken care of my needs from insurance to testing to getting fitted for glasses. Thank you all!
Hate to do this BUT I think it may be able to save another person trouble. I called and scheduled an appointment, upon scheduling told the receptionist what insurance I had, twice, and she set me up for a week out. I get there at my scheduled time give the receptionist my name and insurance cards, state to her AGAIN what my insurance is as I handed her my card. I get handed paperwork and I sat down. Filled out ALL the paperwork just to be called back and taken to a room and told that my insurance isn't accepted. Why in the world would you have me fill out all paperwork before telling me my insurance isn't accepted? Not only that but why wasn't I told one of the THREE times after I told you what insurance I carry, that you don't accept it. Why wasn't I told when I made the appointment that it wasn't accepted? So I waited 1 week for an appointment that didn't happen, when I could have gone elsewhere, now having to wait even longer for a much needed appointment. This was all very inconvenient and I feel should have been dealt with better. I used to work as a receptionist for a optometrist and part of my job was to verify insurance the day before the appointments. I know not everyone operates the same, but this was very frustrating. Verify your insurance CLEARLY if you're going in as a new patient. Can't speak on their eye care unfortunately, I'm sure they're great seeing the other reviews.
Extremely knowledgeable and professional in their care!
