Professional VisionCare Lewis Center

Dr Jenny (Jennifer Aschenbener, O.D.) is always so friendly and extremely thorough. Everyone is kind and welcoming. The office is very clean, the staff are professional, they use state of the art equipment; it is an overall great experience.

I scheduled an eye exam appointment over 6 weeks ago. They sent me a Calendar invite to place on my schedule. I then drive over an hour to the Lewis Center location and meet the receptionist. She tells me that there is no appointment and that I will have to reschedule. This is absolutely unacceptable. She did not even try to get me to another location so I can be seen. I have a busy life and schedule just like every other professional out there and my time is valuable just like everyone else. I have been using Professional for 3 years now and they have been great up to this point. Might want to work on things as you just lost a customer.

I did not have a good experience with Professional VisionCare of Lewis Center. As someone who was new to going to the eye doctor and wearing contacts, I relied heavily on the staff to guide me through the process. During one visit, my eyes were dilated, I was examined, and then I was allowed to leave. After I had already left the office, I received a phone call saying they forgot to check my eyes after dilation. Being sent home with fully dilated eyes and then told something was missed was extremely concerning driving in that condition was unsafe. I wore the contacts prescribed by Professional VisionCare for nearly two years. Throughout that time, my eyes constantly felt extremely tired. I didn't know the cause and even cut back on caffeine, thinking that might be the issue, but the problem never went away. Eventually, I went to a different eye doctor. They immediately found it strange that my glasses corrected my astigmatism, but my contact lenses did not. The new doctor prescribed contacts that properly corrected my astigmatism, and since switching, the eye fatigue has completely disappeared. I was told that the previous contacts were forcing my eyes to overwork in order to focus, which explains the constant tiredness I experienced. This was very disappointing, especially after trusting this office for two years.

Great place! Dr Patton is incredibly thorough and does a fantastic job explaining everything she finds. The glasses selection is really in style and they all really go the extra mile helping find something that works within your budget and fits your face. Shoutout to Denise for helping me pick my perfect pair!

During a yearly eye exam, they performed a test that was not covered by insurance. I was not asked beforehand if I consented to pay out of pocket for this test. When I brought it up during my most recent visit, I was initially ignored, & then irritably instructed to bring it up with the person who came to take me back to the exam room. That person was pleasant enough, but she offered no apology and no explanation as to why they recommend the test. In short, if you go in for a yearly eye exam, be sure to ask which procedures are actually covered by your insurance.

Dr. Patton is amazing and so was her assistant!! She was thoughtful and went above and beyond!! The scheduling staff was amazing and got me in quickly due to the urgent need! Thanks so much

This was my first visit and it was great. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. Also, their selection of frames is amazing! I highly recommend.
