Clarkson Eyecare

Long story short. I was a new patient here and this doctor recently switched to being a zoom doctor instead of in person. Not sure if that had to do with my results. Got my exam and contact trials; and because of my slight astigmatism, each pair of contacts took one month to arrive. Well, for the next SEVEN months, the doctor could not get the right prescription for me. Seven pairs were not right! Even after the second eye exam, as a re-try. My glasses also were not correct because I needed both. The doctor did not and could not tell me WHY I could not get the correct contacts. I couldn't see out of my left eye for now months. 1 star only because I could get my money back for my glasses. Absolutely ridiculous! Do not recommend any doctor that is not in person in this field! Update: went to Ohio Eye and got my contact trials in within ONE WEEK with the same brand as I had used before. Super nice people & professional!

My in office technician was super nice and very thorough and explained everything along the way. The virtual exam was not a positive experience. The technician on the screen seemed to be rushing through the process, making it difficult for me to follow and ensure my script information was recorded correctly. I had to repeatedly state that I did not know certain information due to the rushed nature of the interaction. I later learned that the technician has a daily quota to meet, which I understand may explain the speed, but it unfortunately impacted the quality of my exam. My virtual doctor's appointment, however, was satisfactory. The doctor was informative and thorough, and I appreciated his time and explanations. My in-office experience picking out frames was less than ideal. When I was given the total cost, I was quite surprised by the amount and naturally asked for clarification. The optician I spoke with was not friendly and informed me that some of the automatically added charges were optional, which felt like a pressured sales tactic rather than helpful customer service. Additionally, I had to wait for the optician to finish with another customer, and she seemed impatient and unwelcoming towards both of us. To no surprise, my prescription came back incorrect. I scheduled two different appointments to try to have it corrected, but both times I ended up waiting for long periods and eventually had to leave without being seen because they were "running behind." I now have a $400 pair of glasses that I can't even use -- essentially a very expensive paperweight. Due to the issues I encountered during the virtual exam and the negative experience in the office, I will not return in the future.

Dr Fillmore is fantastic, he has seen me for twenty yrs now along with my two girls. I highly recommend him! Unfortunately some of the staff can be extremely rude and rough

Really nice and caring people. They all get the job done and they alway get what's best for yur eyes even when it comes to the glasses. The receptionist got my appointment switched with hers to get me in sooner

The staff were very friendly. Tara and Tammy were very very proficient and knowledgeable of their profession. Tara was very easy to talk to and understanding. Tammy very helpful and experienced in helping with picking out frames and lenses. Highly recommend. The doctor was very friendly and proficient and professional, plus very easy to talk to and he took his time with me, did not rush and answered all my questions.

My husband and I both had comprehensive eye exams as new patients. It was a very nice experience. Dr. Fillmore was so knowledgeable and thorough, and quickly diagnosed an issue my husband was having. He explained everything and answered all our questions. They had a lot of state-of-the-art equipment. The office was very nice, and all the staff members were friendly and helpful. We're so happy we found Clarkson Eyecare!

Me and my family just switched due to insurance to Clarkson Eye care, and it was the best thing that's happened to us when it comes to our vision! Great with kids, friendly, and direct! I will continue to go to them even if my insurance changes again!

The opticians & optometrist at Clarkson are consistently friendly, competent and professional. I never feel rushed, but they also don't waste my time. This office has been providing my eye care needs for years and I've never considered going anywhere else.
