My eye doctor's office is under renovation so I had to go to this office instead which was a bit of a drive but I'm glad I did. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. I really liked the eye doctor I saw and I wish I lived closer to this office because I would continue to come here.
Dr Dollenmayer was very informative and polite. The testing technicians were very polite and patient. What my family and I did not enjoy was the insurance\ appointment secretary was rude and had an attitude. Also the glasses technician was even more rude. Pressuring me to buy something I could not afford and or would barely use. They need to realize they are in customer service and they need to be more polite and patient. This questions my family to return to this facility.
Dr. Beauchamp was fantastic with my son. He talked directly to him, very informative, and he took his time with answering questions and asking questions himself, we did not feel rushed. After leaving that day my son said " He is very nice, I liked him." Also Vicki has always made us feel welcome and comfortable and appreciate her opinion and advice.. we have been coming here now for the past few years.. We also have seen Dr. Dollenmeyer who is great.. Thank you!!!!
Started new patient/customer here. On the list for my insurance. Bought $500.00 cost on top of what insurance paid for glasses. They don't sell motorcycle riding glasses, no problem I'll just get a copy of prescription and get em from Walmart because they sell motorcycle glasses. 3 months later I get my prescription in the mail. Ugh. Starting a 70 hour work week next week, needed to get missing little rubber nose piece fixed/ replaced. No got make appointment weeks out. Lady laughed and hung up on me. Terrible service, rude, rude people.
Not sure where all the negative reviews are comming from...my family and I have been going here for years and have had nothing but the best service! I've been to all the doctors here and have never had a problem, nothing but the best care.
I would recommend to everyone.
My family and I have been going here for a year now and honestly I've never felt more welcomed at a doctors office than here. We initially switched for my young daughter and from the moment we walked in the environment hits you; positivity and joy. The entire staff goes above and beyond to make each person feel special and important. Each time we have gone back, my husband and I and/or our daughters, everyone will ask and invest their time in us as patients. I do have to call one instance out especially if you're still hanging on reading. I am a retail manager that takes on training and development of many outside of my own location over an hour away from this office. So needless to say my schedule is packed and consistently changing. I had to pick up my daughters new glasses that she desperately needed and had to mad dash leave work and go from Mansfield to Mount Gilead and then rush to their office before closing. It was my only opening to get there, since we aren't local, besides waiting another week. We got there exactly at closing and people were already leaving. I was devastated from having a hard week and feeling that mom guilt because my little one needed her new prescription. A woman in the parking lot was getting in her car when I asked if the office was already closed and she stated they were. She told me I could schedule to come another day. I was overwhelmed and upset and just stood there tears nearing saying I couldn't because I took time off to race over. As I was about to get in my car she asked for my daughters name then ran inside to grab her glasses. I was floored and thanked her over and over. That small instance of her going out of her way to support a patient will never be forgotten. This momma desperately needed that kindness and it was greatly appreciated. This is a long story but all in all these people are amazing and definitely value their work, their people, and their patients. Thank you all!
ETA: They called to let me know they are sending me a check for $35 for my inconvenience. My husband and I have both been patients here for many, many years. After the change in ownership and our recent visit, we are considering going elsewhere. Upon check in, we were verbally asked numerous health and medication questions in front of other patients. I was uncomfortable with that check in process.
We were told there is an optional test we can have at a cost of $35 that ins. will NOT cover. We both declined the test. Once we went in, we were given the test anyway. A camera takes an image of your eye. It is my understanding this test takes the place of having your eyes dialated for a retina screening. After being told the aforementioned info, my husband agreed to the test. A retina screening is crucial for a diabetic and IS covered under insurance. It may fall under medical coverage but it should be covered for all diabetics.
At checkout, we were told again our insurance would NOT cover the test because there wasn't a particular diagnosis involved. We paid the fee and left. After further discussion with each other, we realized we both had the same test, it just gets charged if you agree to it. At home, I verified our coverage and let the ofc. mgr, Vicki know it is covered. I had to ask her to submit it to insurance and explained to her IT IS COVERED. I received my EOB today confirming that.
Costco charges $55 for a complete eye exam, including the retinal image/exam regardless of diabetec status.
"I'm currently sitting in the waiting area. This is my first time here and so far, the staff I've worked with have not been friendly at all. I won't be coming back." Is what I posted on their Facebook page with no response 11 months ago. I still don't wear the glasses I got from them because they weren't fitted to me properly.
