Dr. Jerome Schartman

Dr. Shartman and Dr. Miller were my team of doctors. They explained the whole process before my lazer surgery. They were very patient and kind. The surgery went just like they said. They let me take breaks and both felt that it was a success. My check up will confirm, but I feel that it will. Professional medical place as a whole. Good work! Thank you!

I will never return to this place. I had Dr. Schartman and he was less than helpful. I wanted to know about the drug he would be using to inject into my eye. He dismissively said that he did not have the time to talk me into the shot. Then he said get the shot or go blind. He then stormed out of the room. One of their supervisors came into the room and allowed me to question her. He then came back in to give me the shot. Again very dismissive. I saw him for maybe 5 minutes total. I ended up in the emergency room with a BP of 259/159. It took more than 6 hours to get it back to a reasonable reading. The fact that this is one of the side effects of this drug I had to look up on my own.

Very nice office and personnel. I had no wait time to get scans and then see Dr. Schartman.

I definitely recommend Retina Associates in Middleburg Hts. From check in to check out the experience was seamless and smooth. Each person that assisted me was mindful from pronouncing my name to medical background and each test by explaining what happens during the appointment. Dr. Jerome Shartman was kind and thoroughly explained everything. Because they did not accept my insurance plan they do offer payment options. Overall great team and excellent experience.
