I had my first eye cataract surgery done 10 days ago. It was a smooth process. The nurses were knowledgeable and explained each task they did before they acted and encouraged my questions. I was given medication to relax me once in the OR. Post- op instructions were clear. I received a call the next day from a Doctor to check on me and reviewed the post-op instructions. A week later, I went to an appointment to get the eye checked. I see great and the other eye will be done next Monday! I'm not anxious at all. I highly recommend CEI in Middletown. Every person who provided care, starting with the initial appointment through the surgery were professional and caring! So happy with my care!

I like the Cincinnati eye institute, they have lots of locations and doctors, my only issue is once you arrive for your scheduled appointment it takes 1- 2 hours before you see the doctor, this has been the case for every appointment I have had. If they could get that issue corrected they would be a 5 star.

I recently went to CEI in Middletown Ohio for my annual diabetic eye exam. I was actually running late for my appointment due to traffic so I called the office to let them know. The staff was professional and courteous. I was able to see Kelly Klimo, O.D. I was pleasantly surprised by how professional and she was as well as making me feel comfortable. The entire staff I interacted with was the same. I will be returning to this office again and highly recommend CEI.

The center and staff are great but Chloe,(receptionist),sucks. She only helps "certain" people. She plays with her zipper and pretends to be busy when people of color come into the office but immediately jumps to attention when someone else comes.

My eyelid was infected So NP Casey was assigned to make an incision in my eyelid and did out the infection. He spent most of the time talking with the girl who assisted him and when he was done just left me laying on the couch and Never came back. He had me sign documents but I never received a copy. There was was no follow up to make sure after being cut on. CEI isn't what it used to be. I was frightened and I didn't feel safe.

I liked the process of the diabetic eye exam much better than the old way. Being with the same person through all the different test made it go smoother and gave me more confidence in the outcome. The Doctor I had was what topped of the confidence. She was absolutely great at schooling me in every detail. Thanks CEI !!

Here's the thing if you want an eye surgery sure. They can do it just like ANY OTHER PLACE. You will WAIT AN EXCESSIVE amount of time in their waiting room. The staff are 50/50. Some are incredibly nice and genuine others need to find a different line of work. For instance, I lost a day after my cataract surgery the drops that go in my eye( which I paid for that you get at the counter 80$). I called and asked could I pick some up that I could pay the 80$, I just had surgery. The lady said we will get back to you, IF WE have enough for you. I emailed my doctors assistant and she had them leave me some. My point. EXCESSIVELY LONG WAIT TIMES! Very long WAIT TIMES! If you CAN and you don't need specialized eye surgery go SOMEWHERE ELSE!
