I saw Dr.Tuohy. for cataract surgery. She explained to me in details what I needed to see better.She did not try to sell me on something I didn't need. She was honest and told me about the procedure that I need . I will be having the surgery next month. I felt very comfortable. I was a little nervous at first..but Dr Tuohy was thorough and kind. I would recommend her.

I had my pre-screen appointment this week on Tuesday. I felt comfortable and welcomed as soon as I walked through the front door. I was escorted to different areas for the tests I had to do. I was treated very well by the staff members who administered my tests: answered all my questions, explained everything completely, were friendly and very knowledgeable. I was able to schedule both of my cataract surgeries along with my additional post surgery appointments as I left on Tuesday.
I am happy to give special recognition for Dr. Tuohy who made me feel less worried about the procedures during my consultation. I know I will be in good hands with her.
I also want to thank the following:
Leah, Maria, Amber, Cody, Tiffany, Shelby and Claire who were instrumental in guiding me through tests and pre-op procedures.
I highly recommend Cincinnati Eye Institute.

Dr. Touhy is amazing and I could not be more thankful for the work she did on my eyes. However, Cincinnati Eye Institute is terribly ran. I have never gotten into an appointment less than 30 minutes past when I was supposed to.
This last time took me an hour. And there was three people next to me who had waited an hour and five minutes, an hour and thirty minutes, and two hours. After fifty minutes, I went to the front desk to ask for an estimate of the wait. That is when one of the ladies, not the one I asked, shouted over "we are 1-2 hours behind on everyone."
They overbook and never call or email to say they're behind. They value their time more than yours. My wife and cousin are both looking into LASIK and will not be going here.

Everybody was helpful but the doctors that I seen their bedside manners were terrible! I am not a doctor but I can tell you something when you are talking about doing surgery on someone's eyes the doctor needs to have the most compassionate for their patients because your eyesight one if not the most important senses you have I didn't feel this from these doctors which is sad. I called to voice my concerns and I am still waiting on the office manager or director Darby Highlands to contact me back. It's just sad how anything to do with Healthcare these days is so expensive and pathetic in general!!!

If I had to picke from 1- 10 I would say a 10, they r very good They explain everything to you they r super nice , very clean very professional. I had my left one done healed really good have the right one done. I have my right one in December the 3rd , not cateracts , then my cateracts in January yet I had to have my eyes scratched because of my pupils it's a piece of cake. I highly recommend them to you.

I felt pain during the surgery which was unexpected. Also the instructions post surgery did not cover some of the restrictions I heard about from others. For example...no makeup for a week, no mention of avoiding bending over. I will be asking some questions before the next surgery.
