The 1st visit was great. They were very personable and took their time helping us pick out our glasses. When my glasses came in, I was fitted for them in the waiting room and told "They were very busy back there". I asked if I could see them in a mirror after she said they look good, and was told "We are very busy, I have been doin this for a very long time and know my stuff, they look really good. Have a great day." When they finally stopped arguing with my husband about his insurance and we went back to pick out different glasses we felt rushed. His glasses came in and we never were contacted about them coming in. I called to see if they were in and was hung up on 3 times before they finally took my call. Then she hem hauled around before finally giving me an appt. Either you know your job or not. We feel that once they get you in and get your money then it's like Walmart, get your things and get out. After my husband gets his glasses we will get our files and will not be back.

DO NOT GO HERE. Went to this place for an eye exam last month (which took forever to schedule, and they were not pleasant at all), which they messed up. In my initial eye exam I raised concerns to the optometrist (who seems quite illiterate considering his profession) who said that it was nothing to worry about. Fast forward a few weeks and I have new glasses, but the prescription is all messed up. I called to schedule a re-exam, which they said they can do over the phone. When I came in to retake this exam, they made me wait in the back for 30 minutes without even seeing someone. Then the little assistant comes up and says that my insurance doesn't allow for another eye exam and then referred me else where. She was extremely rude and unwilling/unable to answer any questions about why or what I need to do next (other than telling me the place). TLDR, if you don't want to waste your time and want an intelligent optometrist/team, take your business elsewhere.

The staff and doctor working here are professional and kind. Great location here in Middletown. I brought my kids in to my appointment and Marcie spoke to my son and kept him entertained while I was trying on glasses. I really appreciate the accommodations they make for families here

The most thorough eye exam I've ever had. The doctor is gentle and soft spoken and very nice and so are the staff. They booked my appointment quickly and my glasses were in in 8 days. Excellent selection of frames at all price points.

Took my daughter here, they took the pictures of her eyes, let her pick out her glasses, took her to the exam room for the doctor to come in hand her the stick to cover here eye and tell us he had to send us home... wouldn't even try to do the eye exam all because she didn't cover her eye with the stick all the way.. his words were "she won't cooperate". I then asked him if he'd atleast try one more time and he said no. I told him she's 6 and his words were " well I see other 6 year olds and they sit still".. I proceeded to tell him "okay wel my child has adhd and she doesn't sit completely still".. he still didn't care and told us we had to leave. I wouldn't recommend this dr to ANYONE. He was rude and really unprofessional. Don't ever take your child or anyone here.

I have no idea why anyone would ever say that dr. Shadwick or his staff were being rude! I have been going to him for 3 years and he is an excellent doctor. He is so warm and friendly and his staff are the epitome of professionalism. I would and have referred many of my friends and family to him.

Dr.Shadwick and his team are the best! I've been coming here since I was really little and I won't go anywhere else! :)

He is the worst doctor i have ever come across. I have never been more disrespected in my life. Definitely will let everyone know how unproffesional he is.
