Most of the staff I interacted with were kind and professional, but my overall experience was disappointing.
The eye exam itself felt rushed. As a new patient coming in for a routine annual exam, I expected a more thorough visit. The doctor did not ask about my previous prescription or eye history, and the appointment was over very quickly. I also realized afterward that I never received the dilation I selected or the additional test I opted into during the intake forms, which are typically part of a standard annual exam.
The most uncomfortable part of the visit happened after the exam. I was directed to the frame area and assumed I was waiting to check out, but instead I was met with a very pushy sales pitch for lenses and lens warranties. I explained that I was only there for the exam and was not interested. Ordering my glasses elsewhere has never been an issue at other eye doctors, but the staff member became noticeably frustrated when I declined and even commented to another employee that I "wasn't getting anything," which made the interaction very uncomfortable.
Looking back, I'm glad I didn't fill my new prescription there. Because the exam felt rushed and routine parts of the visit were skipped, it left me without much confidence in the accuracy of the prescription I received.
The doctor didn't introduce himself. He didnt tell me my prescription or if it had changed. No one really asked me if I wanted to get my lenses there. I was told to sit and wait in the lobby. The man that came to get me, pulled up my benefits, printed them, highlighted a few things and said $308. I had to ask if I could add or remove coatings. It was just assumed I was happy with that and would get my lenses there, and pay the $308. This entire experience was very off putting. I have never felt more like a number before. The girl at the front desk was nice and the most welcoming person of the entire experience.
Honestly bro of all the places ive been too this place was the worst. It's not the wait time for glasses because it only took 2 days to order, its the staff bro. They all look like they dont want to be there, the guy who's "done it since I was born" genuinely didnt look like he wanted to help me while in his office. Took 2 minutes to do my exam, and definently tried to do it ASAP. Pretty sure my right lense is not set properly and im positive its because I was rushed through the process with the different sets of lenses. The clerk who spoke to me when I arrived seemed to be thr only person out of 5 there that geneuinly was smiling, saying hi to customers when they walk in, and making sure things were good. The lady who did my pre exams looked like she hated her life so badly. I went in to get my glasses and she had a huge attitude telling me what to do next. Didnt even say have a good day when I said have a good day. All I do is work in customer service and I always post reviews about the places I visit and I contemplated leaving this review but honestly hopefully next time I go its much better. 2 stars because I got my glasses 32 hours after I ordered them, and thats it. I also had a set of frames picked, they were a little nicer and better than my current ones. the guy told me the PC wasn't letting him enter the code for the glasses I originally chose, and I had to go back and find a new pair. Oh yeah and by the time we were halfway through thr new glasses I chose, the guy told me he realized his mistake and I could choose the original ones instead. Not wanting to wait any longer being there an hour already, I chose the new frames to make time go by. There was nobody but me in that place when I went in too, with 5 employees there.
Staff were knowledgeable, polite and respectful. I went to get a new prescription and possibly glasses but did not see many frame selections with spring hinges that I really liked. So I ended up getting them at another places.
It was a very pleasant experience this time compared to last, They didn't try to bill our health insurance this time and billed our eye insurance like we requested before . Loved the new Dr who did the eye exam. She was very thorough and answered my questions each time. The gentleman that did the final checks did an awesome job Can't wait to get my new glasses! Thank you all. Great team you have now
This was my second encounter with Pearl vision. First time was an eye exam 3 years ago and they were spot on with their prescription. This time(8/25) after receiving my glasses, I had some blurriness with my vision that I hoped and was told it would pass as I wore my glasses for a longer period. The eyeglass associate did adjust my prescription to better allow for reading. I was at a large wresting meet this past week and notice blurriness reading large letters. I have recently had some difficulty reading signage when driving. I was told they could not help me without charging for a new pair of glasses and eye exam. My insurance picked up the cost so I wasnt out any money but it was explained to me when i called this weeks (2/26) that I had only 90 days to correct a bad presription or poorly made glsses after I received them on 8/25. My insurance was charged over 100.00 for a 1 year insurance plan that they say only applies if I break or scratch my glasses. Needless to say I am no longer a customer and advise people remember by situation and ask yourself if they stand by their garantee to you
Dr Zeir did my eye exam and it was the quickest, worst experience I've ever had. My prescription wasn't correct from Dr Zeir. I wasn't seeing correctly out of my new glasses and getting headaches. The staff keep telling me I would get used to it. Dr Zeir even got upset with me the second visit because I knew something was wrong and he blamed me! Dr Zeir didn't get my prescription correct 2 times for my glasses so I had to go to Dr Landrum at a different location and Dr Landrum was thorough and awesome! He explained everything and he got my glasses prescription correct after 2 failed attempts by Dr Zeir. What a crazy and terrible experience at the office with Dr Zeir.
This is Cara Attride.
I've gone to Pearle vision for several years and until now really liked the store. The store employees are very helpful. Dr. Zier on the other hand is very curt, rude and unprofessional. He rushed through the examination and I had to ask him to go back several times so I could look at the slides. I've had numerous eye examinations throughout the years and this was the absolute worst. I would never go back to Pearle vision as long as he is practicing there. It's a shame because they have a really great store.
