Sid is an exceptional representative! She showed empathy and care while sharing her knowledge about glasses. I have not been to the eye doctor in years and the doctor made me feel at ease and confident that my concerns would be addressed. Overall, 12/10 for this location!
Always friendly greeting from staff. Very helpful and knowledgeable about items. Great assistance with insurance questions! I will definitely be returning customer as i have been in the past!
Do NOT come here unless you want to be ripped off. They will charge you extra fees for things that are not disclosed (like UV fees) and here's the best part. They charge you $70 for what they call a "contact fitting fee" which turns out to be the fee for the dr 'writing' the prescription. Lol what a joke! That's not what a contact fitting is! The eye dr did NOTHING different for my husband than he did for me. I came here for glasses, my husband came for contacts. We went thru the ENTIRE process side by side and he had not one thing done differently than I did but he gets charged a $70 fee for the Dr 'writing' the contact prescription?? But there's no fee to 'write' a glasses prescription. Why is that? Could it be because I'm buying the glasses directly from the crooks themselves but since they have to order the contacts, they're gonna make sure I pay them extra for doing NOTHING! We had insurance and there is NO reason we should've had to pay an additional $150. That's absurd! They have the nerve to say it's my insurance. No, it's YOUR clinic!! My insurance says that 100 % of the exam is covered but they made up some excuse as why I couldn't use that part so I said whatever because all I should've been charged was a $30 copay but they're shady and they have it down where they know how to rip people off. I'm filing a complaint with the attorney generals office. There's a reason I'm paying for insurance and it's not to give you an additional $150!!! I will never come here again. Do yourself a favor, make sure your insurance is in network here and they accept ALL sides before you come here unless you want to be ripped off just like I was!! They know all the loop holes and they WILL use them! Do your research on Dr Z too! I wish I would have!
Ive been going here for years & in the beginning it truly was a great place with high tech equipment and not having to have a solution for dilation. Customer service was good, selection great, felt valued. Unfortunately my most recent experience has completely changed my opinion.
Last appointment I was told to go sit in an area and they would call my name. After waiting over an hour and watching others who arrived after me go first, I went to the front desk. The staff seemed annoyed that I was even asking. When I was finally helped, I moved on to order glasses but the tech assisting me didn't seem knowledgeable about the mirrored lens option I wanted. She had to keep asking another tech for help with the order.
I ended up ordering two pairs of glasses. The first arrived 10 days later but the mirrored pair took another week. When I got them they didn't feel right - the inside reflection was distracting and made them difficult to wear. I returned them a few days later (which meant another hour-long drive each way) and when I explained the issue, another tech overheard and told me to "just get used to the reflection" because "eventually your eyes will correct the vision."
I was told it'd be another week before I could get them adjusted and when I explained how far I live, and asked if I could leave them there? the tech refused, saying they would get lost.
A few weeks later, I went to get my "fixed" pair only to find they swapped out lenses with regular transitions, never fixing the reflective part. No one ever acknowledged the extra money I paid for the mirror feature or even asked what color I wanted.
At this point, I decided to deal with what I have because at least I can see when driving (though I can't use my phone without removing them). Which was another thing I wanted to bring up but didn't from the lack of product knowledge and dismissive treatment. Incredibly disappointing.
Friendly and affordable. The folks over at the Harvard location will take care of you! Great selection of glasses with modern lenses. Now all my friends will know how smart I am...
Aveah was super nice but only slightly hilarious. No need to improve customer service but her jokes were only so-so.... I recommend her rewatching Scrubs or Seinfeld for future comedy attempts.
I made an appointment because sometimes it's extremely hectic and full of people. I've always had a great experience. I wish they had more of a variety of brands, shapes and sizes. They don't really carry the forefront of stylish frames. They carry of variety but it's pretty plain and basic. All of the people working there are helpful, and informative. The prices are reasonable. The doctors make sure they themselves are doing thorough work.
Extremely Disrespectful Experience - Be Careful with Your Personal Data.
I walked into this office simply asking for a quote on lenses. Instead of helping me, the staff insisted--repeatedly--that I give them all my personal information, including my phone number, just to receive an estimate. When I said I didn't want to be "put in the system," the front desk staff kept pushing, saying "We need to put you in the system", ignoring my clear refusal.
The receptionist didn't smile, didn't use basic courtesy, and made me feel like a problem for asking a question. Later, they shouted my name--mispronounced--across the entire store instead of speaking to me respectfully. Then someone took my insurance card without telling me why, and made me wait again without explanation.
I left the place feeling humiliated, invaded, and shocked by the lack of professionalism. I've been to many optometry offices before and have never been treated like this. There is zero empathy for the customer, and the whole process felt manipulative.
You should never be forced to surrender personal data just to ask a question. If I choose to move forward, then I will share my information--not before. This kind of attitude is unacceptable, and I would not recommend this place to anyone who values respectful service and data privacy.
