Setting an appointment with Dr. Hansen was easy. Staff was kind. Dr. Hansen is an absolute professional with unmatched knowledge, care and compassion. I am looking forward to upcoming appointments. It was a breeze and felt like I was truly taken care of and respected as a patient. Keep up the phenomenal work and ill be a patient for life!
We have been coming to see Dr. Cole for almost three years now, we love her, she's a great pediatric eye doctor. However, after today we will not be returning. After both of my children got their eyes dilated we returned to the lobby to wait the 20-30 mins for their eyes to fully dilate. While sitting in the kids section my kids asked to watch tv, which was on some weird cartoon and completely mute, the tv had a sign that said "please do not touch, ask". So I go up to the desk and ask if they would turn the tv up a touch, the respond that I got was "no we can't do that"...okay, weird. Then I asked if the channel can be changed, "no we can't do that either, it's policy". What? Why even have a tv in the kids section? I thought how weird and walk back over to our seats in the kids section and start playing my kids a movie on my phone, because what else are they suppose to do for 20 mins? Then a different reception lady comes up to me and asks me to turn the volume down. Are you serious? It was not even very loud, I would never blare something in public, it was loud enough that my kids could hear it right in front of them. And there was only one other person in the waiting room, I'm pretty sure we weren't hurting anyone. Then I asked her what she expected us to do since they won't turn up the tv volume or change the channel, and I apparently can't play anything on my phone- her response was "next time bring headphones". I felt frustrated and embarrassed and would have just walked out if my kids eyes hadn't just been dilated. After meeting with Dr. Cole, she said she's "never heard of that policy". Maybe those two office ladies should go work in a library if they expect absolute silence. Ridiculous. This place is not kid friendly nor is a place of business we will ever visit again.

My kids had an appointment this week and we had a great experience. The staff was wonderful and Dr Cole was AMAZING
Dr. Hansen and Dr. Cole are such amazing doctors!! I drive 40 min just so my children and I can get our eyes checked! They are both very knowledgeable and sweet! The staff and the technicians were very friendly! They also have an optical onsite with a wide selection of glasses!!!
The receptionist was rude, which is unfortunate because the doctors all have great reviews. I'll take my business elsewhere though.
I recently had surgery performed by Dr. Cole. From the initial consultation to the post-op care, she was incredibly professional, patient, and thorough. Dr. Cole took the time to explain everything in detail. The surgery itself went smoothly, and my recovery has been fantastic. I highly recommend Dr. Cole for anyone in need of expert eye care. She's truly a skilled and compassionate doctor!
The staff at the front were extremely helpful and explained what my insurance would and wouldn't cover so I knew what I would be paying after my appointment with no surprise fees. The tech was phenomenal and the tests were all done immediately without any waiting even though the waiting room was full (I don't think anyone waited beyond their appointment time and I actually got back before my set time). It took her all of 10 minutes to get me through the pre screens and tests before the doctor saw me. I waited less than 5 minutes in the room to be seen by the doctor and she listened to my concerns and was able to provide answers to all my questions. They also tell you everything they are going to do before they do it, so it relieves any anxiety. When I went to order my contacts the staff member explained the price before inputting any kind of payment so I wasn't blindsided by the cost. She even helped me pick out a pair of glasses (I haven't ordered glasses in 12 years because I feel like I can't find the right kind). She gave me feedback and helped me pick a pair that fit my facial structure. She then sat down and discussed pricing instead of just asking for the payment. She walked me through all the steps of how I would receive the contacts and glasses. They even sent me away with a trial pair of contacts since mine were so over due. I will 100% be coming back to them for my annual exams and any eyewear needs. Friendly and caring staff, relaxed environment, I didn't feel rushed, and I was in and out in less than 45 minutes. Best experience I have had at an eye appointment by far. Definitely a return customer from here on out!
I'll start with the good. Ada (not positive on spelling) and Dr. Cole were fabulous. No issues there, very thorough, absolutely what I want for my kiddo's doctors and their staff. Just those two, 5 stars, no question. Cashier, though I didn't catch their name, was equally excellent, very efficient and sweet, 4 or 5 stars there too.
The bad. Lots of people have noted the wait times; honestly, not the worst I've experienced, but we were there for 2 hours, which is a looooooong time for a 5 year old. That would have knocked them down to four stars potentially, but it may not have simply because I suspect this is largely due to spending adequate time with patients. However, I also suspect this might be due to scheduling issues. Which leads me to:
They desperately need to fix their front desk situation. It's horrendous. Getting my son scheduled was a nightmare. We were referred by our pediatrician for a failed 5 year vision screening, which combined with family history was concerning. Not scary, just concerning. I figured there would be a wait for a specialist, so my issue truly isn't the length of time it took to get in; it is that it seemed like this was the first time they seemed to have handled a referral. I missed their initial call, & then when I called back (admittedly late in the day) the lady that answered said, "I have no notes on this patient, you'll have to return this call another time." So I did. And I spoke to the lady that left me the voicemail, except she was also extremely confused. I literally stated, "I'm returning your call, my son DOB was referred to your office by our pediatrician" literally spelling his name and date of birth and the referring pediatrician AND pediatric group practice where he's seen. Not two minutes later, she asked, "wait, so is this a referral?" Ma'am, I'm returning YOUR call and stated once again in returning your call that we were referred. Whatever, until today I can write that off as just an off day, something we all have. But today, I get there, & before they even say hello, they tell me I'm in the wrong line. Which maybe wouldn't have happened if our existence had been acknowledged when we walked in. They were also playing a Christian radio station, which honestly wouldn't have bothered me even a little (though I can see how it could bother others, which is why I'm noting it) if one of the first things we heard was not a "Marriage is a Christian institution" divorce attorney ad. It's a MASSIVE assumption all your patients would be okay with that; I personally found it very off putting. I could give them the benefit of the doubt and just tuned out what kind of station they had landed on, but I'm all out of concessions I'm willing to grant a medical establishment, so I'm pushed over the edge to dropping to 3 stars. On top of the "Divorce-Jesus Style" ad, the second thing anybody said to my 5 year old and me was asking if I'd filled out the online forms; when I informed her I did not receive any forms, she said, "oh, sometimes the texts don't go through" so clearly this is a known problem that is likely contributing to the long wait times.
If you can fix the front of house, easily 4-5 stars, and you clearly have the capability. I don't even think it's that those two ladies at the front need to be replaced, they were perfectly pleasant to actually interact with, just additional training and premium Spotify, Pandora, or Apple Music for the office so there aren't jarringly loud ads that may or may not align with your patients' values.
