The Eye Institute: Todd A. Brockman, M.D.

Please know that Dr. Brockman is an excellent very thorough doctor and I would recommend him to anyone needing special eye care. However because of the embarrassing situation I was put in when questioning a charge from 2019, I will not be returning to his office. I have two insurances, however in 2019 one of the insurances was not billed leaving a balance of 35.00 on my account. I have seen Dr. Brockman a few times since 2019 and never was there a mention of a balance due until my visit in December 2025. So I asked why there was a balance and the young lady informed me it was from 2019, a refraction charge. I told her that I should not have a charge with two insurances, so she looked up past visits and said my insurance paid portions of the refraction charge. She's was frustrated with me and said she would go talk to her manager. After returning she, unprofessionally in my opinion, informed me it was too late to file my insurance correctly and that they would just write it off but that I now owe a 40.00 copay. I asked her why I owed this with having two insurance and again I never in my past visits had a copay. She said I could call my insurance and ask. I was so embarrassed walking through the waiting room after her display of frustration of my questioning why I was being charged.

The parking is a bit tricky. After finding the parking garage and going up to the 4th floor it was a very warm and welcome environment. The ladies at check-in were very kind. Dr. Cowick was phenomenal! I appreciate the advice she gave me about Lasik surgery. It was my first visit and I will be back!

Dr Brockman is very thorough in his examinations. He listens to any concerns you have. He stays current on recent research and treatments. Our family started seeing him about 25 years ago. He discovered a serious condition in my daughters eyes and referred us to other specialists. We are grateful for his care and concern.

I had a frightening experience with visual changes I never heard of after doing some work in the heat. I called poison control and was about to go to ER. I got ahold of an after hours operator who was very helpful and paged Dr. Brochman and she told me may be up to 30mins to receive call. 1 minute later I received call from Dr. Brochman ! He was very thorough with questions and listened to my concern and was very reassuring in a frightening situation. He saved me an ER admission and I appreciate his flexibility to get me in if it didn't subside. Sure enough, I feel better and can see better this am.

I am not happy because doctor brockman's office office failed to advise me of charge is not covered by medicare. I informed this of this when they called me today and I said you never said I would have to pay anything else and she said I was incorrect. Well they have now lost me as client and I would not refer them to anyone when they are trying to get money out of a patient the way they did with me. Shame on your office.

This doctor is one of the top doctors listed in the oklahoma magazine . I have been seeing him for several years. He is very proficient & professional. Would trust with any eye concern.
