I am disappointed with my experience here. For the first time, I missed my appointment with the optometrist. When I was contacted by the receptionist to ask where I was I explained my situation and was met with a lack of compassion and understanding. I was told I can no longer go to the clinic unless I pay the fee. As a senior on a fixed income, every dollar matters, and the $70 penalty was difficult for me to afford. Additionally, I came into the office in person to ask for leniency but was met with a very rude answer, "if you don't pay, you can't see the doctor" I told her I would have to find another doctor (since I could not pay and as there are none in Shelburne) and she responded with "Good luck". I understand that policies are in place for missed appointments, but I would have appreciated some empathy and flexibility given the circumstances; it's hard for me to drive far for appointments and as a senior eye care is very important for me. Unfortunately, the way this was handled left me feeling very sad and dismissed, I've never been treated this way for a missed appointment and would have greatly appreciated a second chance.

The staff are very friendly, clean and extremely informative! We felt well taken care of. The Doctor, John Raji, was fantastic. He was extensive and meticulous, and he's actively researching into more invasive techniques that will slow the growth that creates sight problems. He already has a few articles out on it! Sarah and Julia were also fantastic. They're both very sweet and patient. We appreciate everything they've done for us. Also, for the month of May, there are tons of promotions coming up! For example, 30% off facials!

Would give 6 stars if we could! I found myself at Shelburne Optometry in an emergency situation with my child. Not only were they willing to fit us in on short notice, but they provided us with the most incredible care I could ever have asked for! Dr. John Raji was confident, warm, highly skilled and genuinely caring! He made my son feel safe in a very scary situation. We will forever be grateful for the exceptional care we received on our first visit to Shelburne Optometry. I guarantee it will not be our last! Thank you for taking such good care of my son and his eyes! You definitely achieved your goal of exceeding our expectations!

We recently moved close to this area and this office was recommended to us. I took my 86 year old mother who has macular degeneration to see Dr.John Raji. He was outstanding and very patience. He took the time to explain in simple detail and in easy terms what was happening with her eyes. The office staff were also very friendly. Excellent experience and wonderful doctor.

I always have a good experience when seeing Dr. Chothani, but recently was a little put off by my experience with the optician after my eye exam. I was not interested in purchasing glasses at the time but she still insisted I try on frames of her choosing and had the nerve to tell me that my current glasses were "too much" for my face (simple black frames). I don't think comments like that (which I was a bit insulted by because I love my black frames) are the way to go about trying to make a sale. I ended up asking for my prescription and bought my glasses elsewhere.

Dear Shelburne Optometry Team, This morning, I visited Shelburne Optometry for the first time, and I am so glad I did. Having moved to the area six months ago, I was in search of a reliable optometrist. After finding your clinic online, I booked an appointment, and from the very beginning, the experience was outstanding. The lady who assisted me with the booking, was incredibly kind and helpful. She sent me the necessary forms promptly and communicated everything so effectively. When I arrived for my appointment this morning, the care and professionalism I received exceeded all my expectations. Dr. John Raji was absolutely excellent. He was meticulous, knowledgeable, and thorough in examining my eyes. He explained everything in detail, discussed my situation carefully, and maintained such a positive attitude throughout that it made me feel completely comfortable. As someone managing diabetes, I was reassured by his expertise and care. The technician who performed my scans and tests, Marissa, was equally remarkable--kind, polite, and patient. I felt truly cared for. To top it off, the lady who helped me choose my glasses, Aasman, was fantastic. It was as if she knew me personally; she picked the perfect frames and offered a great price. I am incredibly grateful to have found this clinic and your wonderful team. I cannot recommend Dr. Raji and the entire Shelburne Optometry staff highly enough.
