So far so good!
With the COVID upheaval and the exodus of physicians throwing in the towel, it took a LOOOOONNNNNGGGGG time to land an appointment here to get setup with ophthalmologist (Dr. McChesney) to monitor my eye(s) from old surgery and oncoming glaucoma. At this time she is on my Pacific Source network.
Assistant Megan (sp?) was thorough and proficient. Dr. McChesney pleasant and professional.
The front office staff was professional and courteous.
Waiting room was fabulous, plenty of seating.
Billing went smoothly thru Pacific Source. But, rates are STEEP, since its out of pocket for me I wince when the bill comes, over $300 for 1/2 hr visit.
Location is in the professional building that is part of Columbia Hospital, go in the main entrance, turn right and go upstairs.
Definitely recommend!
All staff are very helpful. All questions answered. Dr. Mundy is very personable and professional, and his expertise is unsurpassed. I had cataract surgery in both eyes and he made me feel comfortable and clearly explained the entire process. Surgery was done at Columbia Memorial Hospital which was also a great experience because all staff that attended to me were very kind and experienced. I could not have asked for a better place for my eye care, surgery and follow ups.
My husband had a very painful cornea abrasion on vacation in Oregon, 3,000 miles from home, and the professional and courteous staff arranged for working him into the schedule on short notice. Dr. Kalsi, a real professional, did an examination and quickly relieved the pain. She also scheduled a followup appointment to remove the soft lens "bandage" after there was significant healing of the injury. The end of our vacation could have been a miserable three or four days without the first class service that was received at this clinic, located in a local hospital. He has bragged about his experience almost nonstop, and we are both grateful for the courteous, friendly, and thoroughly professional service that this office provided.
The doctors seem fine but their optical store is run poorly. They may be acceptable for low end lenses but when it comes to high end progressive lenses they are bad. Having purchased progressive lenses for more than twenty years I found my lenses from them to be the worst for the way they were set up and they recommended frames that are inappropriate for progressives. I will go back to Portland for my next set of lenses.
Very happy with my glasses from Casey Eye Clinic in Astoria. The lens department did a super job fitting them. I had two pairs made from the same prescription at two different places. I could see out of the Casey Eye Clinic glasses so much better!
They got me in right away for an emergent visit and everyone in the office was very professional. Dr. Kramer also did an amazing job with my daughter when she needed an exam at 10 months old.
Called for a diabetic eye exam appointment the first part of January 2019. They are booked out to May 2019 with one provider. They will be getting another provider within a few weeks, but instead of taking my information to call me back, they said no they weren't interested in calling me and I should just call them back in a month or more or choose another provider. Very poor customer service over the phone.
Excellent eye care. Very professional. Not a great selection of frames. You can take your prescription elsewhere, though.
