Excellent cataract surgery experience. I just had my last appointment after dual cataract surgeries with Casey Eye Institue in Hood River. The doctor, techs, and office staff were all professional and kind. The scheduler went out of her way to schedule me quickly for surgery when I expressed dismay at having to wait 4 months! I was able to get spots at both Providence and Skyline to get first available. Pre-surgery and post-surgery checks were thorough and informative. I elected to go to Portland for my final glasses because I wanted more selection, but no negatives about Casey except I was very selective about my "forever" frames!

I have always gad the best of service at Casey Eye clinics! I have attended 4vof them, Vancouver Wa, Hood River. The Dalles and the main office in Portland.

I have Medicare insurance get eye exams annually. The prescription they gave me was completely unusable and I had to pay $40 cash out of pocket to get the actual prescription. That's on top of what they billed my insurance. Go somewhere else and save yourself the headache.

Casey eye center is the best in the valley. Their examinations were at least twice as extensive as I had at Cascade eye center in Hood River. Their personal are all great people, friendly and, personable . If you need glasses this is the place you want to go.

Only gave 2 stars because the ophthalmologist seems to know what he's doing but he hardly ever tells you what's going on with your eyes. He does his checking of the eyes then says come back and that's the end of the service. I have several problems with my eyes that need attention but can't get to ask any questions or receive quality service. Staffing is very poor. Don't think they really want a human being there just the money. Must be difficult for the staff to have to customer service skills. Good luck getting the staff to even talk with you!!! One guy from the front desk called, reminded of upcoming visit and gave the address. BUT at no time did he say the office had relocated to a new site.....and he never stated who the upcoming appointment was with much less which office was calling. I had been a patient of Dr Kelly from that practice he started for years. He and the staff were very customer service oriented that had quality. Going to go to another ophthalmologist......I'm done

Liked Dr. Poulsen, very thorough asked me if I had questions and answered them all. Tech was very friendly as was front desk. At old eye care place felt like I was just getting an exam so they could sell me glasses.

I've had a very good experience at the Casey Eye Institute. My doctor is Dr. Poulsen. I've had eye surgery and got a prescription for eyeglasses. The staff are exemplary.
