We've been going here for several years now and have always had a great experience. I called today because my daughter's glasses broke. The office called me back and said the glasses were under warranty and she'd just go ahead and order a new pair. They make everything so easy on our end and have always made my kids laugh when we go in. Highly recommend this office.

Dr. Cheslock is nice guy very professional. The glasses I got the script was spot on he did a great job. As for the front desk people they are a little rough around the edges. Felt hurried out the door

Rhea is a pathological liar! She should not be in any service industry. She lied to my insurance company when I complained about the turn time for receiving new glasses, (She said 2-3 weeks, it was 6 weeks), after 2 weeks I called ONCE a week for an update and was hung up on by Rhea, when I finally received them Rhea handed them to me with a copy of my prescription. She did NOT offer for me to try them on or open the case to be sure they are what I ordered. However, in her usual lying deceitful practice, her story to my insurance company makes her look legit. She is a horrible person.

UPDATE: She called me today. Read below. I'm not even a patient yet. I have a speech disorder, and the person who called me to schedule an appointment laughed at me when my disorder cropped up. Very unprofessional. EDIT: She called me today, saying a coworker "told her about the negative review" and made up excuses that she "laughs at everything" but "would never do that" and IF I was offended that she apologizes ... and that I hurt her feelings. Read that again. I, the person she laughed at, hurt her feelings. I said "maybe we should cancel the appointment" and she quickly said "I'll do that thanks, bye" and hung up the phone. Read the other reviews, and you'll understand why Cheslock Optical has a 2.8 star rating.

They have cared for at least 3 generations of my family and I see no reason to ever stop going. We have received wonderful treatment. I have no eye coverage and they still provide quality care at a reasonable price. My daughter loves to go there. Thank you dr. Cheslock and team.

I don't recall submitting a negative review, and I'm unable to locate it, but it appears that the review left years ago has led to a decision by the office to discontinue my care. Remarkably, I was informed of this decision only a few weeks after making an appointment, just before my scheduled visit. My previous negative experience dates back to around 2017 or 2018, and I was candid about it at the time. I was hopeful to return this week, encouraged by my husband's positive experience, and assuming that any issues with the office staff might have been resolved. Unfortunately, the problem seems to persist. While the doctor is excellent, the office staff remains unprofessional and disrespectful, which has led me to leave another negative review. Given the lack of improvement and the absence of other providers who accept my insurance, I am prepared to seek care elsewhere in the state and spend my resources with an out-of-town provider. I will also be sure to share my experiences with others, as I have heard similar negative feedback from several individuals recently. It is unfortunate that the front desk staff's attitude remains consistently poor, and I cannot recommend this office to others.

If I could leave -stars I would. The wife is rude and downright mean to treat my husband like she did. She nearly broke her leg trying to make it to the scheduling desk to interrupt her receptionist. Apparently, during the COVID season my husband missed a few appointments. We were rudely told we could not be seen anymore, and I am appalled at the entire situation.

Editing review based on a second visit with a family member. Wonderful service by the entire staff. They also have the cutest, most affordable frames of anywhere we've been! Mrs. Cheslock was both helpful and delightful to chat with, even spent extra time with us working on pricing, given they weren't in network with family vision insurance provider. Prior review starts here: Excellent service was received from their newest staff member. Many nice frames to choose from here, from budget frames to nicer brands. However, when I first arrived a 9-1-1 call was made to remove a woman from the premises after a rather loud order to "Get off MY property" was repeatedly being issued by Mrs. Cheslock in quite a demanding tone. The woman was requesting paperwork (for her child, it sounded like) and Mrs. Cheslock refused to provide this. The woman stated clearly she would leave once she received the needed records. She did not get them. Frankly, I would have left right away except I really do need new glasses for reading and another place was closed due to Covid. Their sweet new employee remained calm and composed throughout the stand off while quietly and pleasantly assisting two walk-in customers who arrived after I did. She's a real pro and seems like a very nice person. I wish her well in her new position and thank her again for her professional, kind service. She seems like she has a gift for working well with the public in what seems like it might be a high stress front office environment. Maybe read a few other reviews. Especially if you are sensitive to the energy in a place of business. I left unscathed; but oh my, it was certainly uncomfortable.
