America's Best Contacts & Eyeglasses

Been going to this location and other Americas best for years. I have been wearing contacts for over 35yrs. Was told that the credit the insurance gives me for contacts goes to the exam and I only get what is left over to go towards contacts. Makes no sense. I was there for over 30 mins while I was given incorrect information time after time. I finally just asked for a refund cause it was a mess. I left and ordered contacts within mins from another store and received my full insurance credit.

The front staff is amazing and very friendly. I've been going here for years but the last two eye exams for myself and my daughter have been unnecessarily long waiting time and exam time with this particular doctor. Although I like the staff, I think we'll be going elsewhere.

I went for an eye exam with my son last month and the wait was very long and after the exam another long wait to meet with someone to discuss cost or frames/contacts. The prices vary depending on how many items you buy and there seem to be many "catches" to get a good deal. Much higher than Sam's club for contacts. Even with insurance. And if you don't use insurance they up charge you. Today I called to request information on what visual acuity was. Staff inpatient and unclear. Initially just saying don't have that information. After my insistence that this info should be in the chart they finally made it clear the Dr has info in her records but not in today and also info can only be obtained in person. That's completely understandable however they need to be more patient and explain not. Not just say we don't have that information.

IF I COULD RATE ZERO STARS I WOULD! Who is running this business??? Oh Tina?! She's on vacation every, single time the site is called or visited. I used to LOVE America's Best. First choice in my early 20s. The NIGHTMARE that this process has been without so much as a resolution is ridiculous. The staff is new every other day and aren't able to answer questions. Like brand new babies. We went in for glasses in SEPTEMBER, mine came back in 2 weeks no issue. My childs glasses took a month. Then they came back in frames too small. They had to be sent back. That was on Nov 5. The order wasn't processed until the following week when I called to inquire. I went in the Tuesday before Thanksgiving and not only were the glasses not in, I wasn't able to get a refund cause Tina is on vacation. It's December 8th. I returned to the store for a refund and again Tina is on vacation. So no refund. I think they just refuse to do refunds. But the order is finally in. I wanted to refuse and wait for the person who doesn't exist but child needed glasses. The current associate is really nice. My previous issues here shouldn't be her problem. Moral of the story: DON'T SHOP HERE!!! WHAT A WASTE OF TIME!! NO REASON TO TAKE MULTIPLE MONTHS... MONTHS PLURAL to correct an order

Went in on time for my appointment, was told to look for lenses while I waited for the doctor. Was harassed and ask over and over if I saw the doctor yet while I looked around and continuously told them I was still waiting. Only to find out the doctor is OVER AN HOUR AND A HALF BEHIND. Asked them how long of a wait it would be because it's wasting peoples time sitting around for over an hour. Let's not forget that they talk poorly about customers on the sales floor where others can hear.

I'm not sure why i didn't read the reviews and follow suit. The unreasonable timing for an overpriced single box of contacts to arrive partially crushed and handed to you as if it was a tall order to pick up from their location, then to find out they charge almost TRIPLE the actual amount of the price. Oh and they 100% DO NOT price match. And the "store manager" lol total joke. I called my insurance and they've been getting plenty of calls from these frauds. Hopefully they'll stop scamming people. 1800 contacts or really anywhere else is 100000 times better and you'll get your contacts in a few days not a few weeks and won't be charged unreasonable fees. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS

My fiancee bought glasses from this location roughly 3 months ago and they broke already. She called in hopes she could get them fixed since just recent bought them, but no. They want us to buy a new pair. She isn't rough on her glasses whatsoever, in fact she has glasses that she has had for multiple years (from visionworks) and they're still solid. They could have at least taken a look to see if they can "help". Very disheartening. Will NEVER return, nor recommend this location ever.

I could go on and on about every detail of my experience, but in summary... I ordered glasses in November and did not finally get the last pair until early February because they had to be sent back three times because the prescription was never right. I had to constantly call to check on them when they promised to get back to me when they arrived. Each and every time I had to call to find out the glasses were sitting there. When I went the third time in hopes that my prescription was right, they were rude and dismissive. I finally gave up and went to Costco who got it done in six days with a perfect prescription result. And the glasses were just as affordable. Will never do America's best again.
