Ophthalmic Surgical Associates

The cataract surgery went well and everyone was helpful and nice. That was in the surgery center upstairs in the building. I was allowed in to assist my 81 year old mother. Two days later we came for a checkup with the doctor. The office was packed. Probably 15 patients waiting to be seen. Poor planning. There was another woman helping her mother with paperwork. Suddenly the older receptionist yelled across the room at me that I wasn't allowed in. Very nasty. Of course I left. Now hanging out in the lobby with about 10 people waiting for COVID tests. Perfect! I looked at the door to the office and there is only a sign to wear a mask. Nothing about no one allowed who isn't a patient. I am very disappointed that a surgeon's office would employ such a nasty individual. In my opinion medical care should be done by those who have compassion not anger. This woman should be transferred to a different position where she is not the "face" of the office. Totally unnecessary to be mean when most of the clients there are older people who just had surgery and can't see well enough to fill out any paperwork, etc.

My expierience with with Dr. Witherell and staff over the many years has been rewarding. Dr. Witherell is the most knowledgeable eye specialist in the tri -state area. Having experienced catarac surgery and having glaucoma I wouldn't trust my eye health to anyone but him. I do believe his patient load can be overwhelming and office and staff are forgiving for delays. Be patiencent with the him as he is the best!

Receptionist called two weeks ahead of a procedure to reschedule the time. I advised them that i cannot accept the new time due to a work commitment. The said ok to keeping the procedure at the original scheduled time and day because of my work schedule. Well... I show up and they rescheduled it anyway to the time I can't make. And then asked if i wanted to make another appointment since I can't make their appt time. What's the point of making another appt. if they can't honor the time I set up in the first place?

I've had the worst experience at Vantage Eye Care in Glen Mills. Vantage provided my daughter glasses with a one year warranty then refused to fix them when the glasses broke! They've been completely unresponsive to our needs and I will never visit them again!

Highly recommend Dr. Christopher Williams for eye care. Knowledgeable, professional, friendly. Great overall office visit experience. Thank you!

Dr Witherell is the best! Did both my cataracts & I'm not an 'eye person'.
