My son just had an appointment. The exam is supposed to be free, no copay. Get there and they say a $25.00 copay. They are trying to make people pay for the retinal scan that is supposed to be optional and try to say it is a copay. Optomap is a charge for this service. And look, they even discounted it!

I had the pleasure of working with Steph out front and the doctor was awesome and explained everything going on with my eyes. Needless to say and you cant always go with the reviews because I had a great experience. They worked with me as far as payment as well.

So we used to go to another big chain eyeglass place and decided to switch to Pearle Vision Pearle Vision
Kaminder was an amazing help with helping my husband with his new glasses and since a pair had broken he took the lenses out of his broken pair and put them into his new frame glasses.
They have an amazing deal going on and 70% off combined for 2 pairs of frames and changing out his sunglasses frame. The customer service was outstanding. Kaminder was patient, informative, extremely helpful and we saved some money which was great!
If you need glasses and want great service go visit Kaminder and he will take great care of you!
This will be the place we go to everytime from here on out.

BEWARE! This place is horrendous and has the worst customer service I've ever experienced. I got an eye exam here because they accepted my insurance. I wasn't interested in their frames so I asked them to just put my new prescription lenses in my existing frames. I picked them up after the lenses were installed and the frames were ruined. They stripped the finish right off. The idea that they would even give these to me and send me on my way like nothing was wrong is mind boggling. Then they tell me it'll come off if I clean them. It didn't. I go back and they finally agree they're ruined and get the model number from me to order new frames. Six weeks later they come in. I go to pick them up and they won't do ANYTHING because I don't have the case that came with my glasses....from over a year ago. What is with this place?? Nothing but a scam. I will have to get an attorney for them to fix THEIR problem. Insanity. Stay away from this place!

The assistant we had was an absolute gem, she went above and beyond to help my daughter feel comfortable and was extremely patient and friendly, the Dr was also great. The older front desk lady could have been more attentive and friendly though.

If you call ahead of time to ask if they take UPMC FOR YOU insurance and they say yes, they are lying. My son has that insurance and they confirmed via two phone calls that they take his insurance. They take his insurance for the eye exam but NOT for the glasses. This was not made clear to me, nor was I given any documentation to confirm this info. When I picked out glasses they told me my insurance doesn't cover the glasses. I was under they impression that my insurance simply doesn't cover glasses anywhere, which is not true. They pulled what feels like a bait-and-switch and then charged my credit card $485 for my child's glasses. When I found this out, I called Pearle Vision, within 24 hours of the order, to cancel it. They waited 2 more days before responding to tell me the order has already been started and therefore, they cannot cancel and will not offer a refund. I feel swindled and am very disappointed in both Quentin Vision Specialists (the optometrist that runs out of this Pearl Vision center) and Pearl Vision.

When my son broke his glasses on Saturday morning I was nervous that it could be days until we had him able to see. Our optician at the optometrist's office is closed until Tuesday, so I decided to try Pearle. Within 5 minutes the person helping us found a frame my son's lenses fit in that he liked. In another 5 minutes we were walking out with new frames and spent way less money than I feared. I will absolutely be back if they take our vision insurance.
