Front desk and the tech were great. Doctor himself was thorough and very technical in explanations. The issue lie in the office staff member(s) fulfilling eyeglass orders. Do yourself a favor, get your prescription card from the office and go elsewhere to order the glasses. The cost was exorbitant, even with insurance. Their employee handling the sales of frames was unprofessional and aggressive in her mannerisms. She made comments to my daughter which were out of place and unnecessary. While waiting for our appt. and browsing frames, said employee pulled up our account without us requesting her to do so (nor did she verify our info) at that time before blurting out information related to our insurance coverage. This employee also stated that polycarbonate lenses were required "by law" for minors. Upon further investigation (I contacted the state board and the main office), it is NOT law, but rather company policy. While I would have gone with the poly lenses for my daughter anyway, I did not appreciate being misinformed and feeling conned. Furthermore, I watched as she wrote down various amounts and added/subtracted our costs. She contacted me the following morning to tell me she mistakenly left out an additional $150+ charge. I canceled the entire order, as I was over it by that point. Contacted another office within our network, even paying out-of-pocket for an extra pair + poly lenses cost a total of $80 as opposed to her projected $600+ (this supposedly included a 20% discount off the second pair btw).

Speaking for the Macungi office don't do it. They seemed nice the first time I went there. But if you speak up and the glasses don't seem right they get touchy. Like its your fault they got it wrong. They did take the glasses and put in new scripts "they said" but the "new" seem exactly like the first pair.I feel SCAMMED. I will never go here again it is a ton of money for glasses with no improvement from the pair I walked through the door with. Infact the script is the same and they told me it should be stronger. Also I can still see better out of my old pair. I get headaches and eye strain from the new pair every day. Now I'm stuck for 2 more years. Cheers to searching for a better eye doctor for the remaining family members and for next time.

I loved this place! The staff were so friendly and helpful, they want you to come back! I usually go to the Allentown office, but thoroughly enjoyed this visit today.
