2025 has been the worst eye year for me ever, with a major injury and surgery resulting in permanent residual damage. I had started with Dr. Hudish in the beginning of the year, but the long meandering route of chasing recovery led me to other doctors. After 5 unresolved months with another Optometric practice, I returned to Dr. Hudish. She carefully dialed in my solution within a month and a half with personal attention to detail and a desire to resolve my situation. While I'm still waiting for my miracle to fully restore my left eye, I'm at the best possible spot than I've been so far this year thanks to Dr. Hudish. I definitely recommend this practice and appreciate her dedication.
I have been a patient of Dr. Hudish for over 15 years and was very excited to see her open her own practice locally. I was not surprised to find her to be her normal friendly caring self. She will take all the time in the world for you and answer every question you may have and she genuinely cares about you and will remember you and your family even if it's been many years. It was my first time at this location and was happy to see the setup, the variety and ambiance were all very fun and welcoming. Her staff is also extremely knowledgeable and a joy to work with. I knew what to expect with Dr. H but was pleasantly surprised with the entire visit.
My hubs and I have been with Dr. Hudish since her days at Sears. She is amazing! She is the one who found my astigmatism that other eye docs missed. Dr. Hudish is thorough, fun, and caring. I enjoy going to her! Her staff, Emily, is just as amazing! She's balls of fun, very thorough, and always has the best options for you ready and available. I wish I could go monthly for an exam just to say hi and laugh.
I would like to add to my initial 2 star review. After I left my review, Dr Hudish called me and thanked me for the review, and apologized for the frustrating experience I have had reaching someone at the office. She told me she plans to hire someone to cover the front desk for a smoother experience. I really appreciated her sincere call and her determination to make things better. I work in a similar setting and in a similar role, and I can honestly say it is rare that someone would personally respond to a 2 star review and say thank you, or use the feedback to make positive changes. Healthcare providers (in any field) like that are very hard to find. I have great respect for her because of that, and I'm changing the 2 review star review to 5.

Dr Hudish and her staff are very kind and professional, but I can never reach anyone at the office. I have left message after message on both their numbers and nobody ever returns my calls.
After I purchased contact lenses, there was a rebate I could apply for. I was supposed to get a copy of the itemized receipt in my email but did not receive it. Their office says they provided me with a receipt and the rebate info but I do not recall this as I was told it would be in my email. I am willing to give the benefit of the doubt. Maybe they did give me a hard copy, and I could have misplaced it, but regardless, I called and called and called, almost every week for at least a month so I could get another copy of the receipt. I called over a week ago and actually did speak to someone, but they never called me back with the info I needed. I called again today and reached someone again, and she didn't know what I was talking about and wanted to know how I knew there was a rebate! (the office told me about it which weighed in my decision as to which lenses I wanted).
Well now 60 days have passed and I am no longer eligible for the rebate. I am not sure I will be returning to this office. They are nice people and I like Dr Hudish, but there is something wrong when I cant reliably reach someone on the phone for weeks at a time, especially when I could have saved $100 on those contact lenses. Things are expensive enough, and I could have used that money.
Each time I visit this family eye care I am met with professional care, empathetic and kind receptionists, and a warm atmosphere that puts my mind at ease when visiting for my yearly appointments. I have been with Dr Hudish for many years, I highly recommend you give their office a call when looking for your next optometrist appointment!

If you are looking for a caring eye doctor and staff, our family highly recommends Manheim Family Eye Care. They work well with both adults and kids! From the front desk at the start of your appointment to the care and assistance with ordering glasses/contacts, this will be a seamless experience. They are great at communication and very timely with appointments and needs. It is also nice you can text too!
I was a patient of this eye doctor for 6 years. The office is chaos & I will not be returning. I've had the same insurance for 6 years and they always accepted it. At my appointment this year though I was told it's not accepted. I explained that Dr. Hudish has been on the EOB for multiple years. I said if my insurance isn't accepted then who has my insurance been paying? I was told "we haven't gotten any checks from insurance in years." My insurance company confirmed they've been paying Dr. Hudish. The one tech there also refused to call my insurance and verify that they were in fact in network, she deflected when directly asked if she called my insurance as she didn't. She also claimed she's had many people in the same situation as me. She claimed that she's been doing this job for 20 years so I must be wrong. Well at the end of day me and my years of insurance experience were right. They were in fact in network & covered. If you're a current or former patient of this doctor and you paid out of pocket for services you believe your insurance should've paid for contact your insurer and see how to get reimbursement.
