Walmart Vision & Glasses

Super disappointed. We've purchased many pair of glasses from them and in the past six months two pair of glasses that we purchased within that six months have broken due to a quality issue. I was explained that the warranty is in case we break the frames or damage the glasses not in case there's a manufacturing issue. Now we have two pair of glasses that are useless and we've paid $400 plus for them. Will definitely be taking our business elsewhere, do not recommend.

Edit 11/11/2025 I purchased a pair of glasses hear to pass a DOT physical. I have a one year medical card because of health issues. I passed the physical with flying colors. Passed another approximately 7 months later as a re-employment due to a death in the family. (Also known as a drug test for the company) Then went for another 4 months later. The anti glare coating on these glasses had gotten so bad I could not see the eye chart well enough, had to get a pair out of the car that where very old to pass. It would be different if I where around chemicals or anything that might be corrosive to the lenses. (Cryzal's do not like hydrochloric as I found out the hard way) I have sense retired but drove a truck OTR hauling primarily windows, back haul normally sealed trailers drop and hook. These lenses where very cheap compared to the Crizal usually purchased before my insurance changed and would not pay for them after. (I found this out the expensive way) So I got what the insurance would pay for. That will not happen again! I will go purchase lenses that Walmart doesn't carry. As they will likely last more then a year. The below said one year ago when I edited it on 11/11/2025 Ask about insurance told OH YEAH get there, have wrong name, fix that, have incorrect insurance, WT# can't even get truth about insurance? I am much more than a name and DOB Wake up associates.

Where do I start. The Dr is super creepy. Virtually no interpersonal skills. After 6 attempts at having glasses made, I gave up. That's also 6 trips driving 30 miles. Each way; 60 miles total. The lenses were *always distorted. The non educated employees insisted the noise piece needed adjustment, then the lenses would magically be clear. One employee actually cleaned my lenses with her shirt. Train your employees. Complete waste of time and money. Worthless.

I know people have been complaining about taking in new customers and insurance but they have for me 11-17-19 (waited about a month). They did accept my Amerihealth insurance. Even though I had to pay the full cost for the examine, I gotten a great deal on my glasses. My glasses were $260 and it was brought down to $116. I got myself some decent frames with poly lens with bi-focus and anti-glare/blue light protection. Everyone was nice and pleasant.

Good experience here. Customer service was there when I wanted them to help me and they left me to look around when I didn't want anyone. Glasses came in just a few days and everything was great. They didn't take the insurance, but I knew that going into it. Decent selection and good price.

The people there are great, but they take very few insurance's and what they do except no matter what insurance you may have will not cover everything. Myself I got a specific insurance BC I was told by walmart it was excepted and it was but I was told it would cover my contact entirely and it didn't even cover half of the cost. They need to except more insurance that will also cover more items with more options.

Won't take insurance and will not see new patients even though another family member is a patient. Why have sales on glasses when you don't even take patients?

Won't accept insurance that they are supposed to just for the simple fact that "we don't want to"......... Good customer care/service...... LOL
